Last night I was invited into one of the executive boxes by a business associate. The package he has does not include food, but can be purchased if required. At 7.15 a lady came into the room and asked if we required any food, when we said yes she replied I'll see if there is anything left in the kitchen!! When she never returned with an apology we tried to source a bag of crisps/nuts but to no avail. We ended up going outside the ground to the burger van! My friend says he is no longer having the box after this season due to the general demise of any sort of service/value for money. Is this another indication of how far the club has fallen in terms of value/customer relations in the past 12 months?

Start from 15K

At that price, running out of food at 7:15 is unforgivable.

If you maxed out all the exec boxes for the season, that would return as much revenue as over 1500 season ticket holders. The club should be putting all the stops out to make sure the execs get great service.

For that price, i would expect fluffers.
If that is the price, iam gobsmacked. The service/overall experience last night was very poor and at 15K I could have 30 years on the kop, with my mates and a bit of atmosphere, the way it should be IMO.

That's disgraceful, someone should get a rocket for that.

Thats shocking service, but I thought the catering was outsourced? Its a bad thing for the clubs rep, but I suppose she shouldn't of asked if she knew there was nowt left, but i would also think that the caterers would also need to plan in advance to have a good guess on numbers.

But i'd complain to the club anyway.

15k for a box is for up to 10 people based on 23 games, that works out at 1500 a season per person if you fill it. So a little over £65 per person per match.

Its obviously a fair wedge to chuck about when there is only a programme, 2 parking spaces for 10 people and a comfy seat, but I guess if you have a company its worth it to share the joy of the lane with your employees.

The boxes are also available for meetings during the week.

But surley the contract has minimum service levels agreed and other quality control measures included. Sounds very poor and a shame. whenever I have been up there the service has been excellent. i would write directly to the club and ask for an explanation and as a gesture of goodwill another match given free to prove it was a one off.

Considering the contract was probably brought to you by the same people who have recently brought the Kyle Walker fiasco, I woudln`t count too much on that....

One for Richard Batho to progress???

The service run by SUFC in the exec suite has always been excellent, sure the catering contractors look after the catering and waiting staff, but the SUFC side (commercial dept I think) has always been fantastic. Been a couple of times so they tend to then know you on first name terms. Any issues have always been sorted out there and then.

I remember them selling the individual exec packages for the great unwashed with all the vim of Victor Kiam on the big telly at one game earlier this season - a bargain at £149+vat. Ticket, somwhere to park, something to eat, something to drink.

Normally, incl train down (so kick out the parking bit) I reckon I'll probably spend about £80 achieving all the above. SUFC clearly have all the facilities to allow me to do the same on their premises as the local pubs. I'd be happy to spend more of my matchday money with them if they provided the same value for money.

And thinking aloud here on the boxes issue....if they left one aside (there's a few to choose from) and let S24SU have one on match by match basis for £600 (what the 15kpa breaks down at give or take) chucked in a few pints from 1 to 3 and a "normal" dinner along the lines of what you'd eat in the pub, how many on here would stump up £60 (assuming the boxes are for 10) if not regularly, then at least 2 or 3 times a season?

Service and fodder in Platinum on Tuesday were excellent - apart from they ran out of beef.

Can I choose who I sit next to?

Thirsky hopefully.

Might think about if us season ticket holders were recompensed a bit by you lot for the circa £19 a game paid already - or would it be my responsibility to sell it on for best I could fetch?:)

Actually, you go and have a nice afternoon with Jansky, Trig and all your mates, I'll give you a tenner for the ST...
