Are you surprised? Joining whats gpnna be the worst ever premier league team is a career killer.

Besides, the ship has sunk. A new loan wont fix things. So might as well save the 10 grand+ a week to go for someone in the summer

With Berge more than likely leaving in the summer and Lunny contract up we need to be signing some CMs and a CAM asap. There's quite a few good players with expiring contracts this summer we should be looking at

Ben Pearson
Osayi-Samuel
Joe Rothwell
If we aren't at the very least in contact with any of these then we seriously need to sack the recruitment team. They're all more than reasonable signings. They all add quality, and some add something different that we've not had in years.

He won’t be given a lot that’s for sure
Regardless of parachute payments ( which are probably accounted for elsewhere) and with no season ticket or other income it’s going to be very interesting

Despite the narrative some are peddling, 20 PL games and a deep FA Cup run is bloody appealing if you're currently playing lower Championship/League One.

Question is whether someone at that level can come straight in and make a difference...

I think we need to adjust our expectations.

I anticipate no major signings this window, and now major outlay on pointless, short-term loans.

The only option would be loan-to-buy and we're unlikely to take Teams' better players on an initial loan.

The hard work starts in the summer.

Given Chris' reaction to questions about transfers in the pre-match presser yesterday, I presume there is definitely no one coming in.

I suspect that would only change if we took 4-6 point from our next two games

To be fair, there have been very incomings anywhere so far, with most of the activity from other teams being outgoings. It was always going to be difficult to attract experienced, PL standard players in our current situation, but I still think we will be seen as a good option to players who are out to prove a point.

Still over a week to go, and things can move quickly.

People keep saying Berge is gonna leave in the summer but I can't really see why this is gospel? He's not linked with anyone, on a wedge, and he's not exactly the hottest property out there for other clubs. I think he'll play for us in the Championship next year.
