If we were top of the league then no one would want the season voided.

Euro 2020(1) is the reason it needs to end in May. I'm guessing that will be without fans though so it's pretty pointless.Plus the league didn't finish until the end of July last year, so I don't understand why you believe it has to end in May.

It's a shitshow whatever happens. Fifa/Uefa and the national FA's having to return a load of ticket money that has probably already been spent on yachts and private jets for their executives or the TV companies asking the clubs for money back. It's not going to end well. I'd love the season to be voided though because we're shit at football. Not in the slightest, it will be even easier to cancel this year than last, given the lack of preparation in place.
It will be cancelled again like last season if we get to that stage, clubs can't afford to be losing TV money, that's the bottom line.
It's even worse financially in other European leagues, specifically Spain.
I'm not I'm advocating null and voiding it as its shite to watch"Whatever outcome for any club is surely secondary to the nation's well being"
So why are you also claiming this? - "But the league can't be decided on one third of a season"

The virus is far more understood now, we have the testing capacity to fulfill all requirements, the league is in a far better position that last season, and will probably finish this season on time.
"End it now restart when fans can attend........FOOTBALL IS NOTHING WITHOUT FANS"
Why are you so desperate to watch a relegation season live?
Not sure . Be even more frustrating not attending games. When we beat spurs and Chelsea was nice to win but was still a hollow win without the proximity of fansIf we were top of the league then no one would want the season voided.
Prem rules states a season cannot be completed unless at least two thigrds 24 26 games at least are completed.I don’t agree with voiding the season just so we can somehow worm our way out of a fully deserved relegation.
I would however, accept the season ending as it is now, give us relegation and start us in the Championship - we don’t want to watch another 21 premier league ‘narrow defeats’.
My keyboard originally changed ‘narrow defeats’ to ‘barrow defeats’ - we might be bad, but surely we couldn’t lost 21 times consecutively to Barrow??
I admire your optimismPrem rules states a season cannot be completed unless at least two thigrds 24 26 games at least are completed.
Any team .including us could argue 12 games left is enough to win 12 and stay up
its factual , you cant base any final outcome whenever any final results are possible with only one third so far completedI admire your optimism
Yeah it is theoretically possibly for Liverpool to be relegated and for us to survive.its factual , you cant base any final outcome whenever any final results are possible with only one third so far completed
liverpool arent scoring goals now , could still be relegated in theory
yes because teams cant be nearly relegated one season then win the title can theyYeah it is theoretically possibly for Liverpool to be relegated and for us to survive.
But it’s one thing being theoretically possible and another to actually believe it will happen
if you want to start with fans -not 2 or 4,000 max but at least 50% capacity I start it in January 22I'm not I'm advocating null and voiding it as its shite to watch
Start from scratch in August with fans ie proper football not the facade of a game we are suffering
But in this parallel universe, there’s also no Covid and I’m a billionaire. If we were top of the league then no one would want the season voided.
And in this parallel universe i am ugly anf fat without the body of a finely tuned athlete. But in this parallel universe, there’s also no Covid and I’m a billionaire.

WE'RE THE NULL AND VOIDERS
THEY CALL US INSANE
WE'VE GOT BILLY SHARP
HE'S THE SPREADER AT THE LANE
BASHAM AND O'CONNELL
VISIT ALL THE COVID WINGS
DUFFY FLECK AND NORWOOD
PANIC BUYING ALL THE THINGS
My point exactly40 positive tests today that’s doubled since last week they’re going to have to suspend the season soon surely.
The issue is that once it’s in the building there’s so many high contact surfaces doors, equipment and shared medical facilities that without a break and deep clean it’s difficult to get it out again. My point exactly
We are risking all the prem assets .... the players.
At this rate the games will Peter out
3 weeks ago 7 games were off
2 weeks ago13 games were off
Last week 19 were called off
Its spreading the virus so stop it now

Yes if the EFL can get more than 75% of the fixtures completedAnyone know if the EFL gets suspended will there still be relegations from the Premiership and promotions from the Championship?
Our position is immaterial. Unless they can complete 70 per cent of the season final placing can't be called by it's own rules. And as the new strain is infecting at a much greater rate it's becoming unlikely to complete the games as isolating and quarantine plays out.You can dress it up however you like, advocating a season to be null and voided because the team you support are almost a cert for relegation and are 'shite to watch', isn't a valid reason to end it.
The club is so far behind the others in this league financially as it is, do you really think it wouldn't do damage having to return the PL money which is paying for the increased wages since promotion?
The PL will not be cancelled.
It can be prolonged indefinitely without issue if need be.

But it's true we've been shite .... but I think most fans think the product we are watching is not what we can call professional football
Its training games with cameras
Not been interested in watching games as they all merge into a bit of kneeling down followed by 2 hours of playing football in a library
