I’m sure I heard them say it would be suspended but can’t see it reported elsewhere.
 
Sam Coates definitely said all outdoor sports stopped, and all elite sports, including PL cannot continue.

It is frankly ludicrous that the country can be placed into lockdown yet literally thousands of people in 'elite level sports' and the broadcast and print media, are cross-crossing the country on a daily basis.

For any match at the Lane, the cast of hundreds that turn up to facilitate the television coverage is ridiculous. And with all matches currently being televised, that is being replicated dozens upon dozens of times every week across all divisions.

It's a screaming anomaly and the government will surely come under pressure to end it because there is no way that football itself will end it.

Throw in all the cases that are piling up and I can’t see how it can be justified.

I predict another U-turn in the coming weeks.
