Either Chris or whoever the next manager will be (depending on how things pan out), have got to get one or 2 leaders into this side. The performance today was absolutely shocking, but I didn't see any of the players bollocking each other. We don't seem to have a Chris Morgan type who's gonna kick off and tell these lazy underperforming fuckers to sort themselves out. It's alright Chris doing it in the changing room, but you need people on the pitch to drag the others up to an acceptable level. We are just so soft at the minute it's embarrassing.

I’d agree I think JOC is another big miss in this regard he’s the only player with the exception of maybe George who I’d be genuinely nervous of receiving a bollocking from. I think we’ve got quite a few nice lads, good characters around the dressing room, say all the right things always on time types but very few who I’d worry might give me a clip if I’d just phoned it in.

Wilder said we had a team full of captains yet none of them seem to be saying a dicky bird in games - noone is pulling anyone about or even rallying the troops. Maybe I am being harsh and we can't hear/see what is going on but for a group that was so together I see nothing. They look like they have given up. At this point, I would take a few falling out a la Villa a few years ago. They don't even have the energy or life to get angry. I thought these lads were better than this (not just as players but as pros) but maybe they just lack the belief to be top level footballers - last year they showed the ability.

Never thought this lot would be called spineless but sadly that is what they are.

I'd agree with the giving up bit. No fight or passion shown. When Zaha did that to Bogle , where were the players surrounding Zaha and the ref. Same with the Eze tackle. They just took it and didn't say or offer anything. Just meekly accepted it, no fight what so ever from anyone.

In fairness ref hadn’t blown up so they were right to carry on an play to whistle.

Basham wasn't a leader today.

Teams are now playing how we played last season. Closing us down quickly.

Today we never closed down. Gave Palace far too much time and space on the ball. There were acres of space everytime thery had the ball.

An opportunity lost today.

Been saying for a while about JE. Performances remain consistent, but we NEED him grabbing that defence by the scruff of the neck. His inability to galvanise the defence is disappointing. Might seem unfair, but its the regard i held/hold him in and honestly thought him capable of.
