They won’t, no chance. Other than Egan, because they’ve just disgraced themselves.

I think JOC’s long term injury will mean he gets another season with us. The risk is he’s not as good.

I've posted a number of times already that I doubt we will be in a position to come straight back up.
I do not see how that can happen.
No squad of players, management team, coaching staff, etc. can do what we are doing, what we are serving up week in week out for months on end and come out at the end of the season without being battered, bruised, lacking in confidence and any sort of belief in themselves.
I thought Norwich were naïve, cheap-skates and pathetic last season - how wrong can you be.

I think we’re a bit better than that - but we shouldn’t assume chasing promotion will be a forgone conclusion.

Not many players are over the hill, but they will be damaged mentally.

We have and other than Berge, I don’t think any of them have improved the side that got promoted.

Yes we’ll get parachute payments but I don’t think next season will be as easy as some on here think.

I think our recruitment policy would have been far more successful if we had gone for 3 or 4 of that Norwich team.

Humiliation in the premier league doesn't equate to becoming an unattractive proposition for potential signings. I'd agree that Wilder has a lot to prove with regards to making quality signings.

It won’t be easy, for certain. A few points though;

Norwich used the money to pay down existing debt. They didn’t bank it.

Berge didn’t improve us. In fact, his introduction into a perfectly working midfield facilitated the wheels falling off.

Fair point..It's a concern. But there is enough in the squad to be competitive provided the athmosphere is someway positive. If Wilder has completely lost it or a new manager unsettles the team by ripping things too much then yeah doing a Sunderland is possible

I do if we can keep the majority of the Squad and add 2 or 3.
Ramsdale
Baldock Bash Egan O'Connell Stevens.
Would there be a better defence in the Championship, especially when you add Bogle & Lowe plus Robinson.
McBurnie & Brewster have proven themselves in the Championship, plus we will have McGoldrick and even Billy.
I think Mousset will be sold, but if he wasn't then he only adds to our chances.
Now the Problem area Midfield.
Cannot see anyone coming in for Fleck or Norwood big question is can they rediscover their form.
Berge I think will leave has will Lundstram. So this is the area that will need strengthening.
If and when Relegation is confirmed we should be looking at the best midfielders who will still be in the Championship, we will have Parachute payments so should have a bit of money to spend we would arguably be the biggest attraction in the Championship(obviously 2nd biggest attraction if Wednesday stay up).
I have watched alot of Wednesday's games and the standard is not good, I honestly believe the side United put out today would be up at the top.
