I'm sick of hearing about narrow defeats, tough luck with injuries and that we're still putting in the effort. This is a historically bad season and a lot of our players are under-performing in a system that isn't working. Maybe if someone laid into us it might act as a wake-up call to our management and players. We shouldn't be revelling in the pity of others, we should be giving ourselves a kick up the arse and attempting to change our fortunes

I don't understand why we're being given such an easy ride by non-Blades.

We're like the sad eyed old dog in the corner in need of being put down, but no one has the heart to reach for the shotgun and end our misery.

It does seem as though the level of our ineptitude is so far off the scale and embarrassing, that many outside of the club are finding that the only way they can deal with it, is to ignore it and just pretend we're not there.

What is there to be gained from kicking a club that is so hopeless? It just makes those doing the kicking, look a bit pathetic. Outside of the gobby turd at Liverpool peddling his own selfish agenda, and Pig fans, it does indeed feel that everybody else has turned away from this awful drawn out car crash, as its gone past the point where it's squeamish to look.

The majority of our games in this imitation season have been on Sundays and Mondays so far. In those circumstances, you can invariably expect to get some sort of coverage by way of a preview in the Sunday sports pages. I noticed weeks ago, however, that in the Times at least, they've stopped even mentioning the game that we're playing, let alone trying to put together an article. Norwich, Watford and Bournemouth get mentioned frequently, though, and always warrant a match report.

It's like an employee working out his notice. We're around but, really, there's no point us being there. Certainly, the Premier League 'product' would rather not have the embarrassment hanging around.

We're marking time until we're officially cast back into the wilderness.

I must admit I am waiting for one of those help an emaciated donkey adverts that appear on ch5 about us, but replace heavily laden skinny donkey with blades fans looking numbingly depressed stating at their tv

To be fair I think most pundits, like us, are in a state of disbelief at how badly the team that finished in 9th last time out is now suddenly performing. I also think a lot of them really enjoyed watching us last season, and maybe have a lot of respect for what Wilder has done to get us here with modest resources. So perhaps they don't want to stick the boot in too much.

Or the RSPCA ones with the phone calls from concerned callers, "I saw the poor team on Sky on Sunday...It looked so weak and feeble. Especially in front of goal. Somebody should help it".

Probably because the media are in denial about an absolute shower of shit stinking out their beloved, fantastic, most exciting, most competitive, most watched league in the world.
