Positives

so we failed to penetrate the defence of #2 club in pl with a decimated midfield, our best striker injured first half and our substitute playing with knackered shoulder on injections. Then we conceded one goal thanks to some great individual quality. We were in the match for most it. Yes we are going down but all this worst team in history bollocks c9mpletely overlooks actual performances. Have we conceded 5 or 6 or 7 like others this season ? A good cup run while not changing relegation may well betransformational in terms of the feeling round here

Next week we play a side that might just about be beatable...

Bristol Rovers in the Cup

CW and the squad have been all too happy to ride the coat tails of success............Nice new contracts and media love ins.

They have been sucked in and believed the hype and then walked into a mike tyson uppercut.

If I was Prince Abdullah I would be walking into BL next week & start fucking shit up.

Poor old Terry. 😂

The positive is that I am now positive I want to see Dids in the 10 behind Sharp and either Moose or Burke.

Our £20m strikers can both take a fuck off tablet right now !!!!
UTB

I think that we showed a bit more willingness to keep the ball on the ground and try and pass instead of smashing it long constantly, the downside is that it highlighted how crap on the ball, we are great at sideways and backwards passes, awful under any pressure!

Has any side ever failed to keep a single clean sheet in a top flight season?

are we on track for another record here?

We're the same when we play poor sides though - in it for periods then losing.

After we played West Brom everyone was all like 'ooh, we'd win that games nine times out of ten, how did we lose that?'. Well guess what, we've played those other nine games and we didn't win any of them either. Bad finishing happens because your forwards aren't any good. Persistent 'bad luck' happens because your team is frequently overmatched. And most of all, you don't lose 13 of your first 15 matches if you're putting in good performances.

Big big positives.... the balances of the players' bank accounts....made for life.

Downside....determination, drive and desire appear to have evaporated. To be fair, I wouldn't apply this to all of them but the cap fits some and they're well and truly wearing it.

When we are eventually allowed back in the ground, the Premier League corporate day-trippers won't be there, so hopefully the car park on the corner of Edmund Road and Charlotte Road will be available again.

Completely messed up my matchday routine, not being able to get in that car park...
This situation is now starting to demoralise our most hardened, fervently loyal and blindly optimistic fan base....But at this moment it is very hard to comprehend that being rock bottom of the Prem in December without a win and being on the cusp of total humiliation, still constitutes being our “good times.” If you factor in our recent history.

Yes we have lost them all, but the matches have been very close. Losing by one goal when other teams are getting 5,6,7 goal stuffings.

The players have to keep believing they can win so they can go out and keep battling. And we have to keep believing too

It's a bit like Peter Pan, to save Tinkerbell all the children have to say "we believe in fairies"

To save Sheffield United, every Blade has to say loud and proud "Lads, we believe in you"

Apart from two stuffings we have lost most of our games by a single goal. This suggests to me that our only problem is the lack of ability to hit the back of the opponents net - or even get close to it. Arguments about formations and style of play are secondary to the fact that we need to spend big on forwards who can score. Sort that out and we could be Ok . It's been obvious since the re-start of last season. A bit late though now.

When a post pops up asking for positives it shows how bad we are.

We now hold the record for the worst start to a season ever in UK professional football at any level. We have to wear that stat, i'm guessing it will last for longer than most of our lifetimes.

We did not get a mention at all in the post match analysis on MOTM. Not one mention.

We looked good for the first 90 seconds

I once tied my laces in the dark during a power cut...... which was nice.

The first half was much more entertaining to watch than the Forest game. We weren't that good but it was a much better thandard of football and refreshing to play a team who are actually prepared to attack us.
