It's embarrassing now, we aren't going to win all season, I can't see how it's possible??
And it might come as a shock, but I think we will struggle to finish top 8 in the championship.
Without us fans were nothing, whilst ever covid is about, we will continue in freefall.

At least there was the occasional win in the shitty Adkins season.

I’d just don’t know what we are supposed to enjoy about this season? We can’t go to the games, we can’t score, we can’t defend properly.

It’s been 6 months, 18 games (essentially half a season) and the net result is 2 points. One of which was pretty lucky against Fulham. There’s no joy at the moment, I’m actively longing for an international break.

embarrassing, yes - but we will win a few games.

as for the Championship - we need to see a few changes round the place, sell some, dump others - take a bit of a loss on some others, BUT let CWAK build another team.

We could start next season with a back 4 of Bogle, Egan, JOC and RND (Baldock sold for decent ish money btw).

Nobody will want to buy our players, why would they??

And could you expand and tell me where exactly you think we will win games??
Lost to West Brom, drew with Fulham, oh, and we've not won in the first half of the season, can't even draw with weakened sides, let alone fit ones.

yes they will - every player has a price - even a cut price. What we have to do is cut our loses on some of them.

but what we need to do is let CWAK create another team from the base of the Championship.

Giving up on our management team is not the right option (IMHO) but the experiment of CW in L1 is over - he needs to revert to his chosen favourite formation which apparently has always been a back 4 WITH full backs the push on. the back 3 was radical with over lapping centre backs where we dropped lucky with Bash and JOC.

We should have won the Fulham game in the first half.

We will win games. This can't go on for a whole season.

JOC avoids his reputation being tarnished this season and will be attractive to teams in PL.

fans will be back in stadiums by next august and will play a big part in our promotion push be a few out and a few in but i dont see any reason that chris wont get us in top 6 the championship is a poor league thesedays the one thing im hoping for however is that we ditch this 352 system play 4 at the back get a couple of good championship midfielders in to create and score goals

So, not having a dig here, just asking a question.

Which would you prefer?
1. Losing every bloody time we take the field but it's ok because they are all better than us.
2. Playing a lesser set of teams but winning a decent amount.

For me football is about enjoyment, passion etc. I'm feeling nothing at the moment, apart from a deep depression.

I mean every team we've lost to this season is better than every team we ever beat under adkins.
Not saying this season isn't totally miserable but be careful what you wish for!

I don’t think anyone is wishing Adkins was back....

but there’s got to be some middle ground between a successful season and just literally being unable to win a football game.

we know the majority of this side was capable of playing, and playing well at this level. They are letting themselves down massively - who’s performing at even 75% of the level they played at last year? Basham??

For the record, the Adkins season is no comparison to this. We’d need to be a Champions League club farting around in the bottom half, not dissimilar to Arsenal. In reality we’re only a place or two beneath the position our resources would suggest.

If we cannot compete with the others or more like WILL NOT compete with the others financially, then we may as well not be here at all. What's the point? We then drop down a division where we are most likely suited and our aim would be to finish 7th, as any higher would be a waste of time.
I enjoyed last season and would have lived happily consolidating our place this season. Instead, a few things have caught up with us, not least our precious wage restraints and we are paying the price for it. Having said that, I would have expected to have a few more points on the board by now even if we were nailed on relegation fodder.

You don’t think abject failure to date this season is a reason why promotion from the Championship won’t be a reason? Or the need to rebuild the side?

True, obviously not yet fit, and if anybody was looking at him, there's the chance that he may be viewed like the rest are now?

Adkins did get rid of Neill Collins. So he wasn't all bad.

"Dean Hammond does unseen work"

"Dean Hammond turns up for training every day"

"The biggest room in the house is the room for improvement"

"The fans had it in for us from the first game at Gilligham"

Martyn Woolford......

Oh yes he was!

A season where Bury, Colchester, Shrewsbury and Scunthorpe beat us at home is better than losing 1-0 to Everton?

Some fans need to get a grip, yes this season is bad but not a bad as that season.
We flirted with the play offs for most of the season (we were 8th with 3 games to play), whereas we have now lost almost as many league games before new year as we lost all season under Adkins (13 vs 16). Thinking we could sneak into the play offs was a better feeling than hoping we get enough points to break Derby's record.

I expect other clubs take scouting more seriously than ours.

I believe we had more than two points on Christmas Day though.
