Wages, not £20-£25k per week, the prem players are earning between £40-£350k per week, we don't pay that, so this owner may as well just sell the club to someone who can.
We could have signed free agents and just pay the wages but decided not to and sign brewster for a hefty fee confusing or what

I am as fed up as anyone, but that's an absurd statement. Basket case refers to a club who is on the verge of going out of business, or who can't pay their players, amongst other things.

Football clubs go far beyond what happens on the pitch.
Yes they do in lower leagues.

Is my indifference to to our awful performances a good thing or a bad thing?
I’m simply not getting that kick in the guts anymore......Am I cured?

For the money he cost McBurnie is the worse player I have ever seen in a Blades shirt!
Ramsdale is young, but fuck....
Same with Brewster.

As for the rest playing tonight, they were never good enough for the EPL and never gave been, despite what was achieved last season!
Remind me how many Brewster scored for Swansea last year ?
This current squad will struggle in the Championship next season and that's currently a terrible league!

They’re good players playing badly. Low on confidence. We just need a win, not over reactive “supporters” like you.

They're low on confidence which makes them worse. Sadly, we have several who aren't PL quality to begin with. I don't blame the players for that, they're doing the best they can within their limitations. Recruitment has been dreadful, as everyone knows. I doubt we have a single scout who doesn't just watch EFL games.

However, our woeful midfield options affect us adversely at both ends of the pitch. Plus insisting on playing three centre halves means we always have one who simply isn't up to it. That's an accident waiting to happen each week.

Wilder has recruited extremely poorly, i think he has lost his way. HRH needs to have a word as hes backed him and hes wasted 100mill and we are significantly worse.

I want to know what they do in training. Do they not work on anything technical?
i love chris wilder and what hes done for the club over the last 4 years and certainly want him to carry on but hes just been on bt more or less blaming the players for lack of quality but sorry chris you signed em so have to stand up be counted and take some of the blame if he had been at any other club he would have been sacked 4 weeks ago utb fto

For fans claiming our wage structure is a big part of our abject failure well Wimbledon FC stayed in the top flight for years paying players peanuts and few fans backing them - why - they had a manager whom inspired them and team spirit, the crazy gang

And there were many good options out of contract.

Welbeck
Sturridge
Joe Hart
Jack Wilshere

Just to name 4.

If you dish out 80k a week to a player over 2 years, its 8.2mill. For someone like Sturridge/Welbeck where no fee is needed its far far cheaper than McBurnie, or even Mousset and we're getting an experienced PL player.

And people say but they're injury prone but yet we were told mcgoldrick was too

Whilst I think there is some merit in what you say i think your examples are poor. If we had signed those 4 instead of what we did we would still be down but we wouldn't have a squad. We have paid the fees we did for the others as an investment in their future. Signing players we expect to be with us for a long time. Signing big name crocks on short term deals wouldn't save us or build a more capable squad down the line.

I definitely think GK wise we could have saved alot of cash but I understand the logic in investing long term in our forward line whilst we have the funds to do it. When we go down would we have the money to buy a whole new forward line given mcgoldrick, Sharp, welbeck and starring would probably be done/injured/ too expensive?

Problem is of the examples I used, Berge, Moussett and a lot of the others we've signed on big money will likely want to eave. We won't get anywhere near what we paid, which brings more questions to our recruitment.

most won't have the interest to leave. Moose could realistically leave but he didn't cost too much for what we got. Berge could still command a decent fee, I'd be tempted to take it too. Id fancy our chances of replacing a midfielder or two than a completely new forward line.

I reckon we will need a bigger clear out than the one I had boxing day afternoon, it was of dino rod proportion

Nah Wilder would feel threatened and intimidated by having players like them who have actually achieved something at the top level of football
