He has to start and finish the game tonight. He's an out ball and our most attacking threat believe it or not and against Lindeloff + Maguire, he can cause ALOT of problems
So we've come to a point where our main attacking threat is someone who is fast and runs like a bull, but can't score? S*it, that makes me feeling miserable.

I’d be tempted to try him with Brewster

Brewster seemed to thrive playing with a partners like that and some pace for Swansea.

Moose is obviously only going to be off the bench for the foreseeable.

He looks a bit like he's signed from Stocksbridge or Hallam, just given up being a brickie to go pro, fast and strong as owt but not much of a footballer, and has an unfortunate habit of falling flat on his arse when through one on one.

If he had come from non league I think we'd be thinking 'there's summat to work on there'.... But as he's actually commanded pretty high transfer fees in the past, I reckon we're more thinking 'there's summat up there'.

But, non league striker waiting for his moment at Bramall Lane against Man U...."This is your chance Jimmy. This is your chance".

No other striker has been more of a threat. He causes problems and makes things happen. Sad but true tbh

Thing is he can cause a lot of problems for defences with his pace but when he’s through on goal his brain switches off

He certainly gives everything he's got, every game, that, you cannot deny. And that is something we can all get behind, regardless of our league position. It used to be the minimum requirement, remember?
If Fleck, McBurnie, Stevens, Berge, etc. could actually put themselves out a bit to produce the same level of commitment every game we might still have a glimmer of a chance?
UTB

I put him in my suggested team for tonight because we need some pace to occupy their defenders. However it is indeed a sad indication of where we are currently because I have seen nothing else from him to suggest that he would even be worth a start in a League 1 team. From what I have seen he also appears to be quite selfish with the ball.

He could cause more problems if they work on the bit that he does at the end of one of his runs. Has also shown he can get off a decent header from a cross.

They will push Shaw and Wan-Bissaka on to keep our wingbacks pinned back. I'm assuming they'll only play one holding midfielder so I'd start Burke and Brewster (assuming McBurnie is injured) and try and get at them down the sides of the CBs. I'm torn between McGoldrick and Brewster as I think the former is much better at holding the ball up but I think his legs have kind of gone.

Yh unfortunately. However Mousset is unfit so he's not pacey atm. (dont know why people think otherwise). Brewster is a kid in a mens game. Didzy is Old and slow. Sharp is old and slow and Mcburnie is Mcburnie

Got to go with pace tonight. They will play a high line with Maguire which is asking for a ball over the top.

Agreed. Without a fit Mousset, Burke must play.
If you have no pace, no threat to counter, and are bottom and winless, the opposition will suffocate us, and push everyone forward as Southampton did. We hardly made a pass.

In fairness. He has scared the defenders this season. Gives them something to think about in the same way Mousset was last year.

May as well go for it tonight, got nowt to lose. Burke could be an option for sure.

I would be pissed off if we tried the same containing tactic like against Southampton last week. We have to go for broke really.
If we lose, so be it, let's go down fighting.

He has to play. He's the only kind of threat we have sadly. I'd play him. with Brewster who may just get the ball to his feet for a change. He's wasted playing hoof.
I don't even care if we lose, just get some form of threatening partnership going.

I think the two of them together with McG just behind could create an interesting combination and at least some semblance of an attacking threat ( remember that ? )

In fact , I put it on my wish list to Santa and he replied saying he would do his best but couldn’t make any promises, bearing in mind who he was having to deal with .

I know Chris is stubborn in his approach, but I am dying to see us with a number 10 again.

I understand why he changed to the flat three in the PL (and we did see it once or twice in the Championship), but IMO we really don't have anything to lose now. Roll the dice and take a chance.

Moose and Bruce with Didz behind.

If we're going to lose every week, may as well do it in style.

Chris not changing is one of many reasons of why were in the mess we are. He wont change it

agree for certain games but possibly not against man utd their likely to rip us apart if we do

Harry would enjoy playing against McBurnie, he wouldn't enjoy playing against Burke though. Pace was always a problem for Harry - remember Walsall away ...

Yes I believe Maguire and Lindeloff will be shitting themselves.

On the basis of who they'd least like to face I'm sure Burke and Mousset would probably cause slightly more contemplating than McBurnie and Sharp...

But you're right. None of our strike options are going to cause any experienced CBs sleepless nights...
