Big Sam

Not the best journalism, but when is there ever.

Still not bad having just one relegation over his career to date to be fair.

If the prince had sacked wilder or he walked we could have done worse if we went with him(possibly have kept us up) and as a few have said just a temporary stop gap and leading to more managerial merry go rounds.

Still praying that wilder gets his head in gear.

I hope West Brom get relegated after this decision-Big Sam don't make me laugh hoofball shite and don't think Kevin Davies is still available

Worry is, what if big Sam was the best target on the princes hit list should wilder go....

He's wba manager now. Never ever ever had a relegation from the premier League. Football is shite.. but fuck it, if it gets results and ensures that 100m at the end of the season I can see why struggling teams take him.
Results and the rewards that follow? Yes, that’s what league football is about.

Whaaaat.. really?
So I understand from the way we celebrated promotion to Premier League and the financial security it gave us. Even the dreams of qualifying for Europe. Please explain why winning isn’t the aim.

It’s not that I don’t disagree with you but he does have a proven track record of keeping teams up.

Also we’ve played ‘hoofball shite’ under Wilder for a while now, so I don’t see how that can be a stick to beat Allardyce with.

i dont think west brom have any chance of staying up even with big sam
In all honesty, I couldn't pick the teams above us that will end up in the bottom 3 and WBA have as much as a chance as anyone above us of finishing 4th bottom? The new manager will get them hard to beat and will probs draw a few, whilst also nicking one or two games to give them a fighting chance of survival (the approach that we should have taken a few games ago).

Could be? WBA and Fulham will keep fighting though, one with money to spend in Jan (Fulham will probably give it a go then) and WBA will probably go a 451 type of formation, hard to beat and could nick a few wins here and there? Don't write these teams off yet, both still in it.

And then the following 97/98 season Big Sam absolutely smashed the third division with them breaking 100pts. They did play a very direct style.
