I fear we may be partly to blame for the rumours spreading through the internet about Captain Blade holding up the second half of the game with his protest.
We merely tweeted
Many others have taken GS's joke about the second half being held up as gospel and now what's going round is that we've got trouble causing mascots of our own interfering with the football.
As anyone who was there will testify, Captain Blade sat down a bit with his "Free the Preston One" bit of cardboard and shifted as soon as the players came out. It was mildly amusing, but did not happen as is being reported
The 8 added minutes were down to O'Driscoll's team of snidey, time-wasting cheats.
