-no worse football than what we play now
-the squad clearly needs a kick up the arse that wilder or knill cannot give
-the system needs changing but the coaching staff are too stubborn to do so
-wilder has wasted over 60 million on bang average players
-allardyce has the first tier experience that we currently seem to be lacking

Imagine watching a team that can't create anything and deciding the answer is Sam Allardyce.

the system needs changing but the coaching staff are too stubborn to do so

This is bollocks. It's not about stubbornness. It's about thinking this system gives us the best chance, based on the players we've got. We switched to a back four second half. Guess what? Still shite.

You'd think the pigs would be more concerned with their own predicament. Just because they have Pulis, it doesn't mean every body else wants a hoof ball merchant.

No please no. This side needs a rebuild over the next 12 months the older players have to be completely phased out and a squad built with depth comprised of players at a good age to go again for another 4-6 year period in order to hopefully get promoted and compete at prem level for that period allowing us to stabilise and improve the club as a whole to compete at this higher level. What we do not need is a sticking plaster of big Sam who’s method is to play percentage football but more importantly bring in experienced veteran players on a last top tier contract before moving down the leagues that method might keep you up for 1,2 maybe even 3 years but eventually we would drop and when we did we would have no foundations or assets on which to build and it would be unlikely we’d return anytime soon.

I’m not a pig just a blade that doesn’t want to see my beloved club break Derby’s record. I am thankful for what Wilder has done for us but I’ve seen enough to think that he can’t do it in the prem.

If Tony Pulis is Savers, Big Sam is Home Bargains.

Fuck me, no. If we replace Wilder with Allardyce then we deserve to go right back down to League 1

He wouldn't come to us and risk his reputation. Whatever there is to be said about the manager there is a considerable proportion of our players that lack the pace, power or technique required for the PL. We've paid big money (for us) for players, but not on wages, where others have and therefore get the pick of the bunch and we're left with what we've got.

Know's nowt and understands even less about the Blades if he thinks Sam is the answer.

I wouldnt be against changing wilder for the ‘right candidate’ i dont think that is Big Sam though. Wilder shouldn't be immune from criticism especially if he has become detrimental to our success, i personally dont think he could get us back up at the moment so a roll of the dice is a lot more appealing than it was 6 months ago.

His replacement i would want to be a more long term, pro football approach like Southampton.

We can't even think of life without CW yet ... the last time we saw him, we had beaten Norwich and had a game in hand to go 5th ... 5th in the PL! Even if the next time we see him its in the Championship - so be it. We are just 2 wins from being out of the bottom 3 BUT we need to score........ The main reason not to contemplate no CW is that I fear NOT Big Sam coming in BUT Piggy Pearson !!!

There's a reason no one has taken up Sam Allardyce or even Pulis in the premier league.

the football world has moved on from them.

So you’re saying because I joined the forum late my opinion is less valid that yours? I’ve been a season ticket holder for 14 years and that includes the league one days.

We can't laugh at Tony Pulis going to the sty to try and save their sorry arses, only to go and hire Big Sam ourselves. That would be very, very silly.
Have you seen our football the last 12 months? We’re hoofing as badly as any Pulis side

No one gets this squad back up due to the decline of ageing players and injuries we have a gaping hole at left back, CDM, LCB, RCM (if Berge leaves) we will have one soon at RCB and we will need to see how fleck recovers because we might be short at LCM aswell that’s half the starting 11 which Currently needs replacing in the short to medium term. We signed players in the summer to address immediate needs then the season started and it became very apparent that previously solid players have hit a wall. This is now a big rebuilding job and Burnley should be the model go down and use the prem money to sign players out of the champ and on the fringes of prem squads who are a at good age and have good experience and build another group to take us forward. Wilder has done it before when he came in and will do it again our scouting team has an excellent record at champ level and I have faith they’d be able to assemble a side capable of doing that job.
