After todays game, and the christmas games, your priority for the next 30 days should be abundantly clear.

Focus your efforts on signing (not loaning) 2 defenders, one of whom should be a long term replacement for Morgan, and they should be able to slot straight into the team, so that you are never forced to pick Nyron Nosworthy ever again.

The midfield and attack are doing their job at the moment. To score six in the games and not get a single point out of it is downright criminal.

Really?
Where's the money coming from for these sudden long term replacements?

Adams should be able to pick up a bargain. That's what he was brought in for, no?

On the plus side Perrino looked decent enough

Perhaps he'll get a run of games to prove himself worthy of signing permanently.

You mean bargains like Ertl, Calve etc?
We're reaping what we sowed in the summer and it'll take a massive effort to sort out the car crash of a team now.
Everything, particularly being on our fourth manager, points to relegation and the board would deserve it.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Len just give it a rest will you. Every post is the same, your like a kid or the donkey out of Shrek

What the fuck has Ertl and Calve got to do with Adams?

You're just flailing around nonsensically now, to try and be contrary. Sort it out son.

Do you not agree that we need to sign defenders?

It is blatantly obvious that the problems have arisen from the poor decisions made in the summer. You can go on about lack of money, but there are many teams above us who have no money too, and they still pick up players who can perform well at this level. Lets look at the side that plays when we go to Coventry - it could be that there are a couple of new faces in by then.

None of the current car crash has anything to do with Adams.
That doesn't mean the facts change about how we've arrived with him as manager and the massive task he has.
I take it you realise we have signed players who we are contracted to pay - like Ertl, Calve, Kozza etc?
Can we even send Nozza back? Wouldn't surprise me if Sunderland insisted he was here for the year as we refused to buy him outright.
I hope it's as simple as you suggest and we can just go out and buy two decent defenders.
Recent history and management by our board very much suggests otherwise.

Lenners has a point I'm afraid over the last 2-3 years we've sold good players and replaced them with inferior ones, football history suggests that means we'll go one way and it's not up.

Birch has said there is money available for signings in January. Granted it's not likely to be much, but the money is apparently there.

The good news at least is that we've sold all our good defenders, so the one's that we bring in can't possibly be as bad as the ones we've got.

In my opinion when all our defenders get back to playing fitness we should drop calve, nos, bartley to the bench and give our own players a run out. Taylor in at left back jordan, lowton, parrino (or whatever his name is) has centre backs and kozluk in at right back. You may say well there all shit and maybe so but at least there already signed at the club and will be here when the other muppets leave. Lets get them in and get them working together and stop wasting money in loan fees on cast offs and has beens that could be better spent strengthening a serious back four thats gunna stick around for a season or two

Right can we agree that the transfer window isn't open. If we don't spend any money by the 31st January I will quite happily join in on the witch hunt of Birch.

Len, if we had a little money what would you do with it? Maybe something constructive and stop yourself sounding like Ed Miliband hey

Isn't Parrino (or whatever his name is) a loan player too. Also I would have to walk out if Bartley was on the bench with Kozluk in the side

Birch said there was money for Speed, there wasn't.

On that last point lenners, how do you know that?

Speed brought in 3 premiership players on loan, 2 of them likely to have been on 10k+ (Batth i'not sure about his wages) and Calve, also likely to be on 5K+. No permanent signings then, but plenty spent on wages.

Don't forget Richard wright's wages too.

Ive not heard off parrino till today so i assumed he was an academy/reserve player dragged up to play with there being a shortage so my mistake on that one.

So what happens when bartley goes back to arse ?

FFS, are you serious?
After everything that's happened with this board, you would still happily tuck into the plate of cack they tuck under your chin?
Bonkers.

What's cack about it?

How do you know that speed didn't run out of time in the transfer window, and wasn't able to bring in anyone permanently due to the lack of time available to him to identify targets and complete the transfers by the end of the window?

Oh yes Highbury, they ran out of time, just like they did between March and August to assemble a proper squad, without loanings etc, etc, etc.
Cannae be arsed mate, if you want to believe owt this board says, knock yer sen out.

You're comparing apples & Oranges. You can't blame Speed for whatever went on between March and August.

I don't blame Speed for anything regards acquiring a proper squad.
The blame for what has happened this season lies in only one place.

Over 2,000 posts in, don't you think by now we've got your message loud and clear? The board will always lie, we will always be shit, so we might as well not bother going on.

I take it you mean the board.

In which case i would contend that the board gave Blackwell at least a 2m budget to spend (including wages). Blackwell spent that money on Nosworthy, Bartley, walton, and Britton

Len has a valid point here, if you continually shop in the bargain bin you are going to end up with damaged shite.

signing donkeys like kozluk, he wouldn't stand out in the meadowhall sunday league

Someone has to think of the children Coily.
