South coast, Sussex, a bit upmarket for us northerners, apart from Silent.

It gets a mention in Saturday Kids by The Jam, along with Selsey Bill, which is the only reason I’ve heard of it.

Not sure about that mate, never been there myself, but it looks more like a place you go to retire, rather than a place full of sailors in pubs, looking for a scrap.

Very nice mate, would pass for the Maldives, b*u* sea, golden sands, distinct lack of coconut palms though.
Bet that's the Silent family white bungalow with the red fence.

Looks nice SB, afraid I slummed it at Butlins Skeggy with a mate, believe '57 or ,58 at the most we were 16, how the bloody hell did we get in. Also to Mosney, Eire a couple of years later, that was a nice camp, no segregation of sexes or singles and families, really did make for a better atmosphere.
