Defence

Lowe [although slightly growing in confidence] and Bryan just don’t give me any confidence and if either continue teams will target our left hand side. How is Osborn not getting a game, also if we are going to continue with McBurnie then Robinson with his long throws should be considered

Mid field

Cann’t we use McGoldrick in mid field either left hand side or possibly in Norwood place though I see someone has suggested McBurnie there, I don’t really see that. Also can someone tell McBurnie not to try and dribble as 9 out of 10 he loses it

My other suggestion is that Burke could make a good wing back, he closes down well and can run with the ball etc.

We have played 9 games now with McBurnie up front we need to consider other options

Burke + Brewster or Brewster + Mousset McGoldrick +Brewster

Bryan being rusty was to be expected, but he did a few decent things as well. He looks to have more composure than Jack Robinson and is probably a bit quicker.

Osborn had a great game at left wing back at Liverpool, so I've also been surprised he hasn't played there since. One argument could be that he's of little use when it comes to marking at defensive set pieces. Lowe is no giant either, but he seems to be man marking at set pieces. Furlong at RWB is also a powerful lad who we may have feared would bully Osborn.

I think Norwood will be sold or loaned out in January. Until then I hope Ampadu will take that position. Berge, Ampadu and Fleck are all internationals and we may benefit from giving them a run together.

If Ampadu is out for a while I think we have to start Lundstram again.

I think Burke is the biggest positive this season and he's not getting enough credit. I think he has to start for now, not just away games either. McBurnie's aerial ability will probably be keeping him in the starting eleven for now. We have a lot of options up front now with Mousset coming back and Brewster getting fitter.
