One of our better performances of the season was the first half v Liverpool, so I'm going for that team v WBA.

Ramsdale
Basham Egan Stevens
Baldock Ampadu Osborn
Berge Fleck
McBurnie Brewster

Lowe not up to it yet based on his performances. Osborn offers energy and has a better understanding with Stevens and Fleck. Ampadu's best performance for us, in my opinion, was against Liverpool, plus he's been playing well in this position for Wales. He's more mobile than Norwood and will protect the back 3 better. Not convinced about the front two, but chopping and changing every game isn't going to help. Give them 2/3 games together to see if they can forge a partnership.

My perspective. Stop messing with the left hand side. Put Robinson in there until January and give him a run. Stevens can then go back to his position. Replace Norwood with Ampadu and Berge at the side of him. Fleck hasn't been on it since lock down and is not fit so let Osborne do his role. Get rid of Mc Burnie and McGoldrick and put Sharp in with either Brewster or Burke or both. Sharp knows the strikers role better than anyone and he will work the fast players.

I'd take them out on the piss the night before then pick eleven names from the hat let them go on the field and play where and how they want because they certainly aren't doing it for Wilder or if they are doing as he wishes it needs to change .................................... and fast.

I'd reluctantly agree Robinson is probably the best option to cover for JOC even though he makes a mistake every game, we just have to score more. We are still going to have problems with an out of form Stevens but hopefully Fleck can get back to his old self and make the left side better. At all cost keep Lundstram and Norwood away from the starting eleven. Up front any two from six makes no difference if they are getting shit service. I don't get the McBurnie hatred yeah maybe he should have had two goals yesterday but at least he is working the keeper which is more than any of the others have done and why is Burke not starting him just being on the pitch puts other teams 10 yards back and makes them wary of pressing us too much. Sorry but Billy isn't the answer unless we are dominating play and getting balls into the box something we have hardly done all season.

Assuming CW sticks with the same formation, and this is by far the biggest game of the season, I think we need experience in the back 3 so I would go with

Jagielka Egan Robinson

Wing backs of Baldock and Stevens( Osborn if Stevens not fit)

Berge Basham Fleck ( this game will be about closing down, energy and passion which is why I would put Basham there)

Mcburnie and Burke( who has the pace to push their defenders backwards and we will have the option of turning defenders)

The game wont be a football classic and old heads and game management will be important

Ramsdale
Baldock Basham Egan Stevens Osborn
Berge Ampadu Fleck
Bogle Verrips

Something like that for me.

Basham Egan Robinson
Norwood

Burke Mcburnie Osborn
Brewster

A big selection for this game. I'd like to think we can go with a consistent starting XI here after, whatever the result. I think part of the problem at the moment is the constant changes in the side. We have had a largely unchanged XI for the majority of Wilder's time here. Since lockdown 1.0 its been constant chop/change - much of it forced, but some of it not.

Does Chris know what his best XI is?

I agree with the back 5, Stevens back in if fit or if not then Osborn. Lowe should be not in the squad. Ampadu to replace Norwood, and we've got to shuffle the pack up front and hope we find a decent partnership - Burke should definitely start. It will be interesting to compare the 2 Chelsea loanees (Amps and Gallagher) I think we'll see in this game we went for the wrong one.

Hopefully a change of formation.

Course he does , but they all got bigger deals at rival clubs ...

Don't put Lunny in the 18 + start the 11 who've shown the most guts in training this week. No place for passengers tomorrow. The pressure makes it a mental challenge. If they score first , we can't afford anyone's head to drop. I would get Colin & Harry in to gee them up. Put Billy Tightshirt in the corner and say the weakest player has to see him outside at halftime.
