Grow up

You’re well aware why people are pissed off, basically attention seeking posting these type of threads.

Funny, it's the same posters who kicked off on people for not thinking we could match our performance last season who seem to be kicking off on people for being worried after losing 7 out of 8 games. I mean, make your minds up.

1 point in 33, have we played Chelsea, Liverpool or Man City 11/11 times?

Not chucking my toys out but think we're entitled to question things at the moment.

Aye mate, every week it's the same, 'We just played Liverpool/City/Chelsea!'

Yeah, great. We've also played Villa, Leeds, Fulham, Wolves (four points last season) and Arsenal (four points last season). If we didn't get owt off any of them, bar a single, solitary point, who are we going to beat? Apparently the fact that the last team we lost to is a good one means that none of the prior bad results count.

The other classic is 'FFS calm down, it's only been 2/4/5/6/8 games!'. The message doesn't change, but that number of games keeps getting bigger and bigger, while the points total stays resolutely small. Eight games is a not insignificant chunk of the season.

Before our run of games against Liverpool, City and Chelsea, a lot of people were very bullish about our chances our taking some points from those games. Yet when each game rolls around, everyone is of the opinion that we were always going to lose those games, so why worry? Well it can't be both, chaps.

Villa, Leeds, West Ham, Southampton and West Brom.

They’ve taken points from Man City, Liverpool or Chelsea this season, why the fuck can’t we?

People need to realise Chelsea Man City& Liverpool are not in our league

Our league is the bottom ten

We get back to anything similar to last seaon we will be fine

We’ve lost 3 of our most important players from last season

JOC/Deano & Fleck who’s not been fit for about 6 months

Played the 3 best teams in the league this season and likely the top3 at the end of the season and could have got points out of two of those games

People need to grow up and realise what the league we are in is like
Mate, it's not just about the losses. Its the way we play... City barely had to break a sweat against us.

Reality is we were fortunate not to concede 3 or 4 against them and Pool

Same league as last year

It’s not though is it ? No one league is the same as it was the year before

We are worse than we were last year villa/West Ham/Southampton/Chelsea/everton/
Place all much better than they were last season

Yes that would be because there Man City?

So why aren't we better? Wilder claimed we are stronger with his summer signings.

Indeed.

It's difficult to see where any kind of win is coming from.

What have we shown that suggests we can beat West Ham or WBA in the next 2?

And thereafter we have Leicester and Southampton who must be close to being added to the list of teams that we can't possibly go toe-to-toe with given how they have dealt with us in the past and have started this season.

Then it's Man U - presumably another write-off?

Aston Villa 7 : 2 Liverpool
West Ham 1 : 1 Man City
Leeds 1 : 1 Man City
WBA 3 : 3 Chelsea
Chelsea 3 : 3 Southampton

We've not lost Dean Henderson he was never our player
John Fleck is such an integral player to our team that he was dropped before he got injured

And some people need to wake up and realise that the minimum expectation is for the team to actually turn up and maybe, just maybe show a bit of effort and bottle

League is far better than it was last years

We aren’t as good (yet) as we were last year

Which is why we’re bottom

Certain teams are better than last year, but there are still plenty of teams that we should be capable of getting points off so overall it's no stronger really.

I think Everton, Spurs and Chelsea are definitely better, but they're not that much better as some of their results show.

Everyone else is just as beatable by everyone else, the madness of the first few games has gone and now teams have settled, the crazy town results like Villa Liverpool have gone and now Villa are getting done by Leeds, who are getting done by Palace. They're firmly in the 10-15 league, so teams we should be getting points off.

We're just shite right now. I believe we have the players not to be shite, it's just a case of using them.

Funnily enough, Liverpool and Man City are certainly not better than last season. The former has one CB and the latter has no strikers.

West Ham, Southampton and Leicester are though, which is 3 of our next 4 games!

Fuck the last 8 games. Clean slate. 30 game season - aim for 40 points.

Are we allowed to try against Chelsea and Man City next time we play them or shall we just write the games off like this time?

That’s my concern too.
The Fulham match was our most significant and strangest display of the season to date.
First half....I was impressed..we played exactly like last season....high tempo playing nice quick triangles.....Fulham couldn’t cope and we should have been 2-0 up at half time. So many reasons to be optimistic and I thought we were back.

Second half....we couldn’t keep up the intensity and Fulham took control. Our players looked knackered and at times clueless.
We scored a late penalty to gain a fortunate draw but I didn’t celebrate with the same enthusiasm because Fulham looked so superior to us.

I remember thinking Fulham are likely to be relegated and I’m supposed to feel happy we scraped a draw when in that 2nd half they were far better than us.
However to balance the negativity....I thought we were superb in that 1st half...so it proves we are capable.

People are posting things I don't like.

I'm going to start a thread to tell people to grow up for posting things I don't agree with and I'm going to make excuses for United being shit.

Yep. Because they invested money in players that actually bettered the previous seasons team. We invested in squad fillers.. at first team prices.

We've just spent more millions than all our other millions put together and got worse. Ramsdale is worth the million we sold him for. Berge I am told will be great but after 45 years of watching midfielders he is about a 3 out of 10 player. Brewster I still don't know because he hasn't touched the ball yet. Mcburnie wouldn't get a game in concord Park. We had no chance of points in those games 20 to 30 percent possession is only any good if you can keep a clean sheet
