I don't think he played any differently to he did the second half of last season. Least likely to break his neck to get to a ball first. He has decent competition on that front though!

The weird thing is though....next season he’ll be on £50K a week....the rumours are Moyes wants him at West Ham.
It doesn’t matter if he’s just back up at WH and hardly plays. As there’s no transfer fee paying him £50K a week is peanuts to an average PL club.
His whole contract including fee is likely to be less than 10 million. Just shows how crazy football can be.

Why drag the young un’s down, they want to play for the shirt.. I’d happily pretend he didn’t exist. He can train when the lads are off and stay away when the lads are in training.

I used to be catatonic whenever Lundstram came on a sub in the promotion season. Last year he somehow hit something like form, showed he could win and pass a ball, and importantly with our strikeforce - score a few. That said, even aside from his contract issues, he's back to his headless best unfortunately. Add the contract situation into the mix and its baffling how he gets in the 18, let alone the 11.
I dunno what Osborn's done wrong. He didn't do a great deal when he came on today but hes been generally a solid back up with a demon cross on him imho.

It is a pity Freeman got loaned out so quickly. Almost bizarre we didn't wait to see how the window panned out.

We could have loaned him on deadline day. There would have been half a dozen takers.

This isn't even hindsight. We went for a deal we could have secured at any time. After the first window closed we'd have had a week to find him a club if they was the right thing to do. At that time we would have been aware of Fleck's injury issues.

His presence was no less needed this season than it was vs Bournemouth and Palace last season.

For some reason it seemed to work going with a flat 3 with Lunny over-performing. But it was 3-4-1-2 that got us here. He's the absolutely perfect successor to Duffy. I hope we don't waste money recognising that. If we do go down, Berge moves on and we cash in then Fleck, Norwood and Freeman is a midfield we can run with. Plus Osborn would be more comfortable at that level too.

Chris also has to realise that it isn't a bottomless pit of money. We can't just buy our way out. I'd absolutely get him back to increase our options and give us a plan B of 3-4-1-2 once more.
