They’re a top team

As Wilder likes to say, we didn't really lay a glove on them today. They looked tired and way too overconfident but we made it far too easy for them. I thought we had a cunning pan and managed to send to to sleep second half, but we then offered next to nothing.

We didn't have a pan or a plan. 😄

We are playing most of the same players. We played well against Liverpool, needed to play similar today to get anything and fell short.
We're on a bad run of form, why do people feel the need to convince themselves the style we are trying to play is crap and doesn't work?
We had Duffy. Now we don’t.
It’s been a problem all last season too.

That can’t be argued. But fuck me, we’ve made it easy for them. Again.
No hassling, no harrying.
86 mins, 1-0 down and we’re playing it along the back line.
1-0 down and we’re fannying around with it out wide and losing the ball rather than swinging it into the 2 forwards.
New line up every week, no continuity.
We have all the hallmarks of relegation fodder.

Where’s the fighting spirit? Where’s that ‘Sheffield steel’? Where is the Sheffield United team we saw last year and the years prior to that? We look absolutely hopeless and devoid of ideas - going down without a whimper as it stands.

Oh and one final point - why is that Scouse bastard still getting on the pitch when he’s clearly had money on us going down?
Said it at the back end of last season after season restarted , was accused of being a pig, but there is no pace, no creativity, and not much individual quality in the side, we work hard as a team and will always be difficult to break down , some might say hard to beat but after 9 defeats in 10 I'd disagree with that , we now have failed to score in more games than any other team in the division since the restart , we do not have that 1 individual that can do something to change a game , so we need to make the most of our chances , we are missing too many , but since the southampton last season lunny has probably had most of our better chances and the most shots on target , and he's probably going in January too , and offside or not brewster should have buried his chance

That Sheffield steel has always been a load of fucking bollocks.

Lundstram should of scored with his one chance. AGree 100% mate no hunger determination to a point but UTB let’s go to Chelsea and smash the wankers

Knew this would happen after last seasons over performance
Could see it when some on here were demanding European.football with no understanding of the limits of the squad

Happens a lot to clubs like ours ,right behind the fans when things are going well and then suddenly think the team are world beaters and get pissy about losing to a team that cost billions to pit together

We’ve got 1 point, that coming in a must win against the worst team in the division. We have already lost to 2 potential relegation rivals. When exactly are we allowed to be worried?

A very ‘meh’ performance. It seems acceptable to just give up against top teams for some of our fans.

We were awestruck for 20 minutes and then they kept us at arms length for the remaining 70. It could have been embarrassing so hats off to the players for half having a go but we need to stop acting like PL tourists and get back to what we did pre-lockdown.

Yes we’re missing JOC and Fleck and Lundstram is unrecognisable compared to this time last year but that starting team today wasn’t bad. We can do better than go out of the league with a whimper.
Starting team not bad , the subs on the bench , must be one of the worst seen in the Premier league since its inauguration.
But to be honest still think we will scrape a place in the Premier league next season.
UTB.
