Afternoon all,
Roygbiv and me knock back a strong coffee and get stuck into the archetypal game of two halves from the weekend, including a first 45 that I thought was as good as anything we've seen since before I'd heard of the word "covid", and then a nightmarish second which brought back all the worries and some new ones. Talked about an interesting team selection, McBurnie's finishing, lack of individual quality, how much we didn't like the penalty award, the worst handball since Jagielka tried to get us deliberately relegated so he could move to Everton and become an England international*, Tom Cairney running the show, and Billy Sharp's first Premier League goal in the front of the Kop. Also, our now-weekly segment on the escapades of Jordan Pickford.
Thank you for listening, as always.
*For avoidance of doubt, this is a joke
Also on Apple and the old Spotify.
