What Lamela did is pathetic ,its not the first time nor will it be the last time this will happen.

One of the most annoying things about yesterday was when Lundstram had his foot caught by a defender at nil nil in the 2nd half and stayed on his feet and got nothing. As it should be I hear some say.

However, bearing in mind the 'penalty' that the very same Arsenal were awarded against us at BL in the Cup, no one can tell me that if Lundstram goes down, theres a very very good shout for a penalty and that can be the goal which gives us 3 or 1 point.

It's honest but it's complete naivety from some of our players. We need to learn some of the darker arts fast as that could be difference between staying up or not this season.

99% agree udm. The only bit I disagree with is Bielsa. I give him credit for his reaction allowing the opposition to go almost unchallenged from the KO and letting them score. He had one player try and go against his decision and he was soon moved on.

I wasn't talking about just United. I usually would watch a few matches a week but over the seasons and especially since the 'return' I just can't get on with it.

I've always thought professional football outside of the Blades is shit. I rarely watch anything, I saw Everton v Brighton and Leeds v City because I went for a few beers on Saturday, apart from that I've seen next to nothing. I only know who players are because my son is enthusiastic and try to keep a level of enthusiasm for his benefit.

I coach a junior team and get much more enjoyment watching them than any professional football.

VAR isn’t at fault the technology is doing exactly what it should giving officials the chance to review key moments in a match. However, what it is also doing is throwing up some serious questions about the quality and impartiality of officiating in the English game I’m absolutely incensed that we don’t get to hear the refs mic feed through the match day audio if they had to justify in real time the reasons for their decisions things would be different and for those who say it would ruin banter or rapport between officials and players as long as the ref isn’t saying anything actually offensive why should it ? And it might actually humanise them to some extent and remove this impression of a god complex so many of them exude.

I don't want Burke to fall over every time he feels contact but we're effectively punished because he doesn't.

Yeah football is rapidly becoming a television programme. The whole reason for supporting a football team (going to the game) is sadly diminishing. I personally never really got any enjoyment watching my beloved Blades on TV as I tend to pace the living room floor like a very nervous expectant father. So although it hurts to see us losing games I’ve become quite indifferent to the games themselves.

Winds me up something chronic listening to the pundits, ex pros and presenters when after a ridiculous decision involving a full blooded but fair tackle or a soft as shit red card due to a player "going down" ( that everyone over the age of 10 knows is bullshit). Its the same line everytime " footballs changed now, you can't do that anymore". Berge's challenge on Aubemeyang yesterday is a good example, the commentators and pundits debating whether it was a red. Great tackle for me, got the ball clean and his momentum clipped aubamyang. If we are calling that a red, its time to call it a day. These bellends need to go and do 40 mins at pitz or goals, and see what a proper dangerous tackle is. The FA looks on football as a business and not a game to be administered, to me a wrong decision on their behalf.
The clubs are looked upon as clients and as with commerce the client with the biggest financial clout gets the better service, hence the "big six" get all the better deals over all aspects of their affairs.
The attitude seems to be systemic to all organisations that don't generate their own income but rely on given finances, even down to ones who are there to assist in seeing people have a decent standard of life.
I believe the trend is not new but has been developing over the last 20-30 years and will only reverse, if ever, when the people in charge treat the money they handle as not being earned by them.
It's one thing to handle others money and another to earn money then make that money sustain a business.

While ever diving is tolerated we're at a disadvantage not doing it. Faking injuries and going down on slight contact is a must to compete in the Premier League.

But for fuck sake Blades, start cheating or face the real possibility of relegation. That's what football is now.

Commentators could help by stopping saying ‘he won a penalty or he drew a foul’. No he did not, he cheated the opposition by rolling around and screaming like a fucking twat, so say so.

In fact, all premier league matches should be reviewed after the event and any player who is deemed to have got an advantage by cheating should be banned, without pay (the money can go to charity) for the next 5 games or the rest of the season for a second offence. Stop the cheating bastards money and they’ll stop cheating.
