Look I am a dedicated Sheffield United fan since a time when many supporters have never heard of, like Ted Burgin and Jimmy Hagen! Yes I was there with my dad watching them in my red and white knitted hat and scarf. Now at the end of a game somebody wins, somebody loses there's no fair loss or not! You either win or you lose and Sheffield United lost to Leeds, move on and win the next game, don't cry over spilt milk as they say. At the age of 76 I'm allowed to my opinion I believe, but still a staunch SUFC supporter

I did!
Made of solid wood. There's no way it would be allowed in a ground now - and rightly so as if I'd hit anyone with it while whirling it round it could have cracked their skull.
Luckily at age 12 I could barely lift the bloody thing up to shoulder height.

Ha ha usually from the cricket side, a lot of people not familiar with the ground would wonder what ever I'm talking about lol.

Oh! Twenty twenty vision, you lucky person, my first forays were in the JSS extreme BL end for reserve games. From about 1950, the Terrace, just to the BL side of the players entrance. Just a few games a season till 52-53 when I suppose success prompted my inclusion at more games. We used to manage away games most Boxing Days and at Easter with odd ones when there was something or one specifically to see. Eventually about twenty odd years ago season ticket JSS then SS because there was no JSS, after rebuild of JSS chose seats roughly where we used to stand on the Terrace.

The good old days, I didn't manage to get to many away games but my dad rarely missed any that he could get there and back to in a day. Lol
