We're in the bottom three. If it stays that way and we lose on Saturday and Palace and Bristol win, we will go bottom. Surely that would galavanise those in power at the Lane to try and do something about it. I might be wrong but I don't think we hit rock bottom under Robbo although it was only a matter of time.

Worrying times.

Contrary to popular opinion those in power at the Lane have ALWAYS been trying to do something about it. You might not think it, but the club have far more interest in being successful than even you or I do. Only problem is, despite all the advice from the footballing geniuses on here they've not managed it yet.

Personally i'm shocked and saddened to see us down there and realistically we're not getting any extra cash from anywhere, so for better or worse we're stuck with what we've got and a few coming back from injury.

Can they turn things round? I think so. Will they? Now that's something I'm less confident about, but hopeful nevertheless.

I don't care who keeps us out the bottom three. Pol Pot. Saddam Hussein. Gareth Ainsworth.

Anyone will do. :)

thank you dingles

now sort it blades McCabe get your wallet out put some money in or no one will want to invest

Well woop di doo up to 4th bottom 1 point above rock bottom team with an inferior goal difference. We as supporters do have to take part of the blame "Warnock out " "Robson out" "Blackwell out" and here we are tonight . More fool Kevin Mcabe for being too weak to stand up to the rabble continually demanding managers to be sacked by demonstrating in the car park. I think we should stick with Speed while we sink further into the mire 'cos we should reap what we've sown

Why should we stick with Speed? He is proving to be the wrong man.

Except he stood by Warnock and chose to sack Blackwell at a barking time in the season when I don't recall anyone in the car park.
£5m going out of the club on a 'player' like Ched Evans has got fuck all to do with the fans.
Selling all your best players and replacing them with inferior players has got fuck all to do with the fans.
Apart from getting virtually everything wrong about who's to blame, you're bang on.

i can't remember a massive warnock out campaign mccabe thought he could do better and Robson was the big name he wanted
could have been so much different if McCabe had given Warnock a new contract.

whos laughing now look at the top of the league QPR whos the manager Warnock

Only 1 person behind this the same person that when we were in the premiership was on the tv week in week out with the west ham and tevez thing he was the face of the club
where is he now where is McCabe ? ?

it took Warnock 7 years to build a team to take us up you can't get rid of players like Kenny Naughton Walker Beattie Jagielka Tonge Killgallon Hulse Stead Cotterill and replace them with Taylor, France, Ertl, Jordan, Kozluk, Nosworthy, and forever changing loan players and expect consistancy and results

COME ON MCCABE BACK SPEED SHOW US YOUR STILL THERE ! ! !

True enough. But there is the opposite scenario, that we get something from both our next games, the clubs around us don't win all their games (they're as bad as we are...) and on Saturday eveniong we are back in 15th at the top end of the scufflers 6pts clear of the bottom three, only 6pts off the top six.

How likely that is is another matter but if we are going to break this run and start to climb to relatvie safety, and bearing in mind we're more comfortable away than at home, then two winable away games seems like a good opportunity.

I guess we'll just have to see...

speed and ellis were part of the previous management team, i stand by my previous comment we shouldnt have given a 3 year deal to Speed.

If we finish where we are come end of season i'll be happy the way things are looking at the moment. Let's hope McCabe's spewing into his Golden Grahams this morning.
Speed's not the problem. It's the fuckin clowns he has at his disposal that are the problem. Let's give him at least the january transfer window to change things, then, if we're still rotting come april, then, i'll worry.

What?

I must have been on holiday when the "so called" and "fickle" fans all stormed the car park and demanded we sold our better players and replaced them with inferior ones (guess I missed it in '74/'75 as well when this precedent was set).
If you believe in the slightest that McCabe sacked Warnock or Blackwell because of the "rabble in the car park" then you are deluded. He may have sacked Robson on such a pretext but, even then, perhaps his performance might have waranted some action anyway.

We are reaping what has been sown but it's been sown in the boardroom and bank managers office rather than any car park.

Hmm... Ched's value is going up week by week.

"rabble in the car park" literally and metaphorically. When Warnock was in his early years at the Lane the people sat round me were shouting "F... off Warnock" etc. The actor millionaire "rabble" Sean Bean allegedly used obscene language to Warnock in front of his wife and family after our relegation contributing to Mcabe's decision to part with him. Robson was never given a chance but managed to sign BT and when Blackwell arrived he took Flopsons team on a run which almost reached the play offs. Blackwell was sacked after 2 f...ing games of the season after losing to a team that stormed the first third of the season. The fans popular choice, in my experience, was Speed so Mcabe appointed him so I think we should stick with him even though he doesn't appear up to the job. Appointing another manager now would be another example of short termism and we would be the laughing stock of football. If we go down we go down.

I would have to agree with that cahill. We've put all our eggs in the basket now, thats it. We have to get on with it and hope that Gary Speed can get it right.....I think he will long term because he's a smart guy. It's just a question of how far we fall first because he has been left a mountain to climb.

If relegation is the cost of giving Gary Speed time to get it right then so be it. Chopping and changing again will only make it worse. From the managers we could afford/attract there isnt a single one that I believe could do better with this group of players. What will be, will be.

Robson wasn't sacked either. He resigned because of the fans abuse to him and his Family. eg. There was fans spitting at his wife and kids in the streets of Sheffield. KM offered him a different job of Director of Football, of which he turned down.

Warnock resigned after the abuse to his wife and Kids from a certain"Director"

Blackwell was sacked for, seemingly, losing to Warnock and upsetting a potential Investor in the stands.

I find this board laughable at times regarding our current plight. There is no money, period. That's it! We have a squad of journey men and frankly crocked players "with a point to prove". We have a brand new manager who hasn't been backed anyway near as much as the last 5 Managers under KM tbf. Yet some want this man sacked because we'll hit bottom if we don't perform and results go against us. We only have another 93 points to play for, Relegation must be a certainty

jose mourinho would prove to be the wrong man.. IMO hoofwell saw the writing on the wall and poisoned the chalice with the keystone cops and cresswell getting stupid deals

If Warnock and Robson resigned, does that mean we didn't pay their contracts off?

Erm...........

Warnock was out of Contract........... Remember!

Don't know about Robson's contract. There is a reason Sir Alex won't deal with us and apparently this is it, I'm told. He was treated very badly by both Club and Fans.
