Waiting for Brewster to sign like

These Scouse accounts had no idea who they were dealing with when they made their stories up 2 weeks back trying to make out they were ITK....that’ll learn em!!

Been made to look right mugs by us and our slow process.

If he does sign in time for the Arse game, I expect him to start on the bench, and get a run out in the second half. He is needed, but has no experience of the game at this level, and has not played much football at all before this game.

I wouldnt. I’d chuck him straight in. Experienced or not,he’s still got more chance of scoring than our current forwards.

Whether he starts or gets brought on in last 10, If he doesn’t get a hat trick on his debut most of the moaning c*nts on here will crucify him anyway

Doubly so with all the Facebook group fans. He's 20 years old and needs time and patience. When you realistically look at the step up to the PL, players tend to score less than half than they did in the Championship. If Brewster can bag 10 this season it would be an achievement. Sadly many will have their criticism guns ready and loaded before he has stepped foot on the pitch

I would imagine the squad will be travelling down to London tomorrow for the game on Sunday, will Brewster be here by then, unlikely.

The lad is a natural goal scorer alright, and we need a shooting threat from outside the box. Heading doesn’t seem to be his strong point, so all these crosses into the box maybe futile. From the YT clips his pace and running look great, but what worries me is that he flails his arms around ( actually in a good way in my view) in a one to one battle and that may suddenly be misinterpreted. We seem to have a problem with refs favouring “bigger” teams. Look at the Egan sending off, the treatment Sharpe gets in games etc.
Brewsters been wearing the shirt of a top 6 team and I hope he‘s got the drive and determination that can adjust to been poorly treated.
The one thing that does look promising is that all the recent signings like to pick up the ball and drive forward. Berge looks unstoppable sometimes, and with Burke, Bogle, Brewster etc. It’s a good basis of a squad.

It will bring a new meaning to meltdown
It will be down to Brewster and his agent as its plain to see Blades and Pool have sorted the transfer fee and stuff out.
His highlights on video are really exciting he has power and not afraid to us it allied to excellent finishing.

I fully expect him to start slowly, an improve as he gets used to his team mates and the system. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find that his signing time doesn’t make him available for the Arsenal game. This lengthy gestation period already has fans expecting too much from his first start.
My preference would be second half v Arsenal. He gets to view the game, pace, tactics and his new team mates before he is blooded. If he scores, great. If not he’s had a decent introduction to the club and will have greater understanding of the expectations in his next game.

Wilder has always said he picks starters based on what he sees in training. Will he sign in time to fit a training session in, before the aquad leaves for London?
Having Brewster on the bench is useful for him and Wilder, whichever way the game goes.

Agreed but I don’t believe the minority will accept this view and the minority seems to have the loudest voice

How many competitive games has he played since this thread started over two months ago?

If he is thrown in at the deep end with little or no preparation, his confidence will be severely dented. Start him slowly and give the lad a chance to prove himself.

(It’s a good job he likes London). 🙈

For me the thing that stands out with the lad is his movement his ability to generate space in the box and either drop off or stay in front of his man hopefully he’ll be ideal for getting across his man and getting something on the low crosses we deliver or playing for the second ball after a cross if it isn’t properly cleared.

I think he will get 10-30 mins vs Arsenal. He hasn’t had much game time recently. Then after the international break I think he will start and get a debut goal vs Fulham.

Are the England U21’s playing this international break?

That would be really unfair on the player.
Remember he’s young and hardly played at this level....he’ll need time to adjust
A manager should be well aware that confidence plays a big part in performance.
If we throw him straight in and he scores then expectation and pressure will be massive from the beginning.
If we throw him in and he doesn’t score...you can guarantee many of our fans will say he’s crap.
Some will even criticise the board and Wilder for buying a dud.
They’ll say it was stupid to spend so much on a player with no PL experience.

A good manager will ease him in gradually and design tactics that bring the best out of him.
Even the best...most experienced players usually need a short period of adjustment at a new club.

Have I missed something, or is all the excitement about it being a done deal, based on a Facebook post by Gary Sinclair; which could mean anything?
