It's comments like that why I am starting to come on this forum less and less. Personal abuse with no reasoned argument. It has become quite an unpleasant place to come on at times and why I only dip in and out these days. Shame but it never seemed to be this bad. Disagree with opinions but telling people shut up and calling them a tool. On my match report I got told it was fucking rubbish also with a thinly veiled personal attack. I envy Foxy and Linz. This forum is a fantastic place and gas been for years but last few months I bet they are wondering whether it is worth all the hassle.
I agree fully.
Sadly society has become plagued with keyboard warriors who would not dream of personally abusing guys in a pub or local park
Take your enjoyment from the forum and ignore those who personally insult anyone

He's given him over 80 million too sign Freeman, Berge Robinson, McBurnie, Mousset, Bogle, Lowe etc. Only Berge is starting and he is just ok. Two have left the club already. The others not starting or not even in the match day squad.

The notion he is not being backed is not reaquite true. I can see why the board may waver giving him another 20 million.

Wilder might be the best manager we have ever had but his signings when he has spent a lot of money have not been good enough. Tin hat on. There said it. His best players have been free signings/cheap buys (granted Egan cost 4 million) and players for 500K

Relative to the division the signings you have listed are not big money signings.

The ones that have represented big outlays for us are McBurnie, Berge & Mousset and all have had a positive impact since coming in. What would you have expected to get in return, at this level, for that level of investment?

If they arent here as back up why are they not playing or even on the bench?

McBurnie is not a regular and to start the season if he was the main man up top would be playing.

Berge could go onto be great (has potential) but currently his performances have seen more average ones than good ones for me. He needs to step up and do more
McBurnie was pulled out of the Scotland team for a reason but you expect him to be starting for us when not fully fit.
Berge way better than Norwood who looked weak and slow today, he was our best midfielder today.

Your hate for our big signing carries on and knows no bounds. If Brewster signs will he be your next scapegoat?

Paperboys, innit?

They haven't the articulation to offer a counter argument, let alone assess the game in the detail and depth you do, Deadbat. Piece of piss to simply play the fucking player and not the game. Or better still, not comment at all.

And it's them who call the likes of you a tool.

I think the board will be disappointed out of McBurnie, Mousset, Freeman, Robinson at circa 50 mill non are 1st team starters regularly. I think they will also will probably have been surprised a year on that 2 have left the club and the other 2 are injury prone/inconsistent and not regulars every week.

It's not a ton of money at this level but our board/owner does not have a load of money so I think would probably have wanted more from what we have signed and we kind of have to get more right than other teams who can have more misses. I might be wrong but I think most of Wilders signings since we went up non can say they have been fantastic so can understand the board cautious at chucking another 20 million in.

Seeks same with Jack then. Our fitness guys have been lauded but those two and Fleck don't seem to have been fully fit all season. Yet all have been playing to some degree.
I have played regular football and cricket for the school teams and for the local teams from 1973 to 1997 and there were times I told the captain/manager that I felt fully fit but after some minutes on the pitch I realised I was wrong so it was my own fault not the captain or manager. Many times I went to work feeling off colour but thought I would be able to see out the day but later realised I was wrong so I had to go off sick for a week. You said our medical team must have got it wrong assessing JOC, Fleck and McB and you forget that Wilder isnt one of the medical team. He gets advice from them. There will have been occasions at the school you teach when you see pupils being unsure if they are unwell or not, you would prefer to seek guidance from the school nurse?

Where was the threat? I assume it was me you were referring to, my opinion stands it was to me a rubbish report and I told you my reasoning. Can't take not being pandered to then maybe the internet is not the place for you. Not everyone will agree with me but hey I can take that and what's more I don't give a fuck.

The ⚽ is now in your court.

You know what Wilder has asked you for, support him,he will probably be asking you for more after the news about JOC.

Sink or swim over the next few months....................you decide.

You will have to should a bit louder he’s got the NFL on.

I don't hate anyone. Just don't see the outstanding performance today others did. My opinion. Does not mean I hate anyone. I think Berge can go on and be outstanding. At the moment he is doing ok and shiwing some real flashes of quality but also feel he can do more . He is not dominating games nor is any one in our midfield where teams are having more of the ball every week and creating more chances.

As for McBurnie he started v Wolves so I assumed he was fit now. I might be wrong but if he's not fully fit why is he on the bench?

But you must be trying to rile people up with your views because there’s no way you can truly believe the dross you write? Don’t make provocative statements and you won’t get a blunt/angry response.

So we have lost :

hendo - one of the very best keepers in the league

JOC - crucial to our style and an exceptional defender

Moose - our joint to scorer in limited minutes. One of our few ‘match winners’

It’s going to be a long season if we don’t do some good business in the next week or so. So far we have spend negative money (whatever we received for Robinson) on upgrading the forward line and now have another gaping hole to fill, as well as no creativity in midfielder. Creativity was already our weakest area last season and we have yet to do anything to address it.

I don’t think it’s dramatic to say the season hangs on what business we might do in the next week.

we need to use the PL loan, the international loan and what little cash we have to revitalise our fortunes. At the very least we need another option as a goal scorer as our current 4 just aren’t going to be clinical enough. It’s a big week for all concerned, and I’ve everything crossed the board back wilder in the way he deserves to try and get some results

100%. Disagree by all means, that is the purpose of a forum, but throwing personal insults around is pathetic. I don’t know what is wrong with some people.

I got used to it, you really can not control other peoples inability to have a meaningful debate/discussion. Football is an opinions based game, for someone to call your opinion stupid, only for them to then tell you theirs own opinion and expect you to agree with it is hilarious, especially when they find out you don't agree.

So I write an opinion you disagree with and your response is to call me to shut up and a massive tool? Disagree sure but just do not get why you would need to respond like that.

Your opinion goes against fact and reason, not just my opinion.

Their keeper had 4 BIG saves, Baldock x2, Lunny and Bash. No strikers had a decent shot from recollection

Here's an idea, don't be a snowflake about the original opinion.

Maybe you are right. It just seems odd that McBurnie started if not fulky fit and is veing used off the bench of not 100% as could damage the injury equally in 1 minute as 90. Never felt Jack or Fleck been right for a while. Maybe we have to play them half fit due to lack of options. I just feel a few have not been quite at it for a while. Maybe it's just a combination of things but would like to see our fitness stats pre lockdown to post lock down?

Sorry but that's the last of your posts I read

Keep posting mate. The majority respect your reports. You're very much like Dostoevsky for me. I read your stuff after a defeat, nod my head to most of it and then feel completely depressed. ;)

But I do apologise, it was uncalled for, just heated at the time.

No worries. I just find everyone gets so angry if they disagree. Its nothing personal. Its just a game and a message board but it does make me puzzled why people get so angry. We are bottom and on 0 points and scored 0 goals so there will be some criticism. Would be at any club.

I am completely fine with people disagreeing but had a few personal criticisms/comments last 6 months not just you so was maybe a feel of the this board has gone.

Appreciate the apology.

I remember Julian Winter being our new signing in 1989 but he missed the start of the 1989-90 season due to Glandular fever. When he recovered from the illness I went to the first reserves match he was playing in. He got injured in a tackle, Derek French ran over to treat him but after the treatment Julian carried on playing (I dont know if it was his own decision to carry on playing in the match or Derek advised him to carry on). Not long after, he got hurt again and was carried off. Never played competitive football again, I dont know if it was his first injury or his 2nd injury that had done the damage that finished his career. The decision to carry on playing in that reserves match cannot be the manager's fault.

First time I have ever been compared to Dostoevsky! He wrote The Idiot didn't he?

Reading my reports are a bit like crime and punishment too!

Fair point mate although I think Berge will go on to better things.

Expect to be labelled a Wilder hater though by a few temperamental types.

Those crying about the ref today would probably spontaneously combust if we'd had Palace's or Spurs' decisions.

I love Wilder bit even he secretly will be disappointed at the lack of impact a few of his signings have made since we went up. He can point to formation changes etc but then why sign Robinson/Freeman?

Most of our fans have given up....they are convinced relegation is certain as we need several players.

Based on most of our fans if the Prince uses his brain instead of emotion he’d know that spending 20 million on a striker won’t make much difference.
It also puts us in debt...and in the current covid climate we have already taken a cut in income that we didn’t expect.
The best policy is probably to do a Norwich...prepare for next season in the Chsmpionship...keep Wilder and go for promotion next season.

The hardest decisions take bravery......it’s the easiest thing in the world to solve a problem by throwing money at it.
If we buy Brewster he’s not likely do much this season...so we will still be relegated with so much debt we’ll need to sell all our best players.
If we do a Norwich then maybe we can keep most of our players for next season in the Championship.

Note: This is based on what most Blades think.
However Ive seen enough to suggest we’re close to being a mid table team...so I haven’t given up..we just need more striker options.
