Time to stop drinking that Siberian home brew. I’m a blades fan.I don’t feel the need to prove myself to you, or anyone else.
Of course you don't. You one of the okay-men. They never need to. Just go with the flow... "CWAK wil sort this out."

2 observations on the never-ending pessimism of football fans:
1. The match day programmes of 60 years ago were wanting the crowd at the Lane to be more positive and less critical of management and team.
2. Today, in an email to to the text commentary of the Spurs match, after Southampton took the lead, a Spurs fan said that he didn’t expect to see his team win this season. Within an hour, they had won 5-2

The expression today is more hysterical, but the sentiments are broadly similar. And it has always been the case that only a club’s own fans can criticise. Others have to show respect.

Ah another semi-cryptic OP, I love these....

Anyway, I don't think CW is god, but I do have faith that we'll be ok this season.

It's a good job the forum wasn't around when Bassett got us promoted to Division 1 in 1990. Can you imagine the meltdown when we'd only got 4 points and no wins from the first 16 games?

Lots of strongly worded letters written to the Green Un that week though I’d imagine & printed on the day we got the 1st win v Forest 😂

Spurs beat Southampton and we actually go up a place in the table.
If we win 2-0 tomorrow we jump upto joint 10th with Leeds, above Man U and Man City (who play later)

Lawro has us 1-0 to lose which usually means we win.
Some good looking singer called Raye has us to win 1-0 but that could be confusion over her supporting "United" and getting them mixed up.

This is what I believe - be positive.

Ahh, but the comeback after that win against Forest was T R E E M E N D O U S (sic). I think it was the 2nd best half of the season by any club in the league.

I may be wrong but wasn't there a pitch invasion at the final whistle??

Nope, to able to be validly criticising anything to do with SUFC has for a long time been a
privilege granted to only some posters, including you, not your average joe. Saw it long before I ever first posted anything here.

I am genuinely bizarre, as evidenced by many of my messages here. But there shouldn't be anything bizarre in saying that the transfer window before the summer last was actually dire and mismanaged, or If CW says that this current one is his best transfer window in the club, he is speaking bollocks, or If deluded or forced to say so.

You're criticising him right now. It's fine. People aren't obliged to agree with you though.

No, they're not. That's been very much agreed by me for as long as I can remember. I think some 99% (?) out of them on this message board don't agree with me. But I've got no problem in believing that they're still proper Blades. I'm 100% okay with their opinions, as long as people don't try to push me out of the forum just because I don't say Hurrah and Amen to everything the club/CWAK does. As simple as that. Freedom of speech for all. And criticising anything to do with the club does not make one a "Wednesdayite, Dingle or a fake", does it?

Well when you post snide things like this OP, what reaction do you expect?

Just reaction. And mostly, in order to react, people need to think. So, there being some actual thinking taking place, that's what I expected. Thinking, among the ones who are yet redeemable, like yourself.

Personal abuse is against forum rules, infraction given.

What a weird, patronising bellend you are.

Unless it's in support of LGBTQ rights or equality yeah?

Well said. I couldn't have put it any better than you did. Now that you know how it feels like reading posts by someone "who's not on the same level with you", to put it politely, could you even try to imagine how it is like for some more down-to-earth people having had to read all of your pro-queer/pro-LGBTSQ+-=zero shit? My footballing opinions may well be stupid; do keep your propaganda out of the sports. Can you? And no, I'm not angry at all, rather smiling al the time I type. But your SJW activism has bothered me.

Just because I’ve been around since the days of John Harris as manager, I think I’ve been around long enough to enjoy our current success.
Please continue with whatever floats your boat. If you feel the need to question the psychology of my support for Sheffield United, you are too invested in your own insecurities.
Please carry on. 😊

Where in the quote you snapped did I say that people shouldn't have freedom of speech to support LGBTTTQQIAA rights? (Whatever that is.) I've also never doubted that people having trendy but unscientific opinions, people, who support the club, are not blades.

My apologies, really, for using the wrong term in my reply to you. (English isn't but my third or fourth language.) Saying that you're one of the okay-men, I was supposed to having had conveyed the matter-of-fact (but used the wrong term trying to say it, yes) that you're in such a position on this message board, that you can say whatever you think. (As it should be for all of us, too, I think.) I didn't try to suggest that you might somehow be a "yes-man" or so, yet put my words so, wrongly, in hurry. I shall not question your psychology concerning anything, as to do so here would be utter garbage to begin with. I sure have lots of insecurities - though I'd appreciate if you didn't play Freud to me - but I believe none of them are rooted, or caused, by my worry that this will be a very challenging season for the club, transfers made are not good etc. You carry on, too. UTB!

I was a little annoyed by your seeming attempt to divide supporters into, either CWAK can do no wrong, or whining complainers. I think we all have a bit of both in us, and much more besides.I full accept that an older supporter like me can sometimes experience difficulty with modern media. (I don’t use twitter because I tried to sign up and failed). Otherwise I have a reasonable education and the ability to see past the obvious while using critical thinking to get through an awful lot of bullshit.
Thankfully, members on here will usually report on relevant twitter posts, calling out bullshitters and grading the substance of any useful content too. Thanks for filtering it all guys.

Blades fans are from a multitude of backgrounds and ages, just like most fans. To try and divide them into two groups of followers seems ludicrous given the variety of individuals concerned. There are definitely examples of good bad and indifferent on here, and that just my view.
Attempting that feat in a language other than your own is probably not a good idea, especially given the plethora of English idioms, layered with a liberal dose of ‘Sheffieldish’. (Look for a book called ‘weerz me dad’).
As you rightly say, it got people thinking and sharing their views, so that’s a positive.
A pity that your post riled a few in the process, me among them.
A well informed post should make people think and encourage lively debate. Yours did come across as weird and a bit narrow. Hence the response.
I encourage you to continue asking questions, but perhaps consider the likely response before you post?

Chris Wilder has the best transfer record in English football over the last five years. Not happy now? You never will be.

No. Then again it doesn't not make you a pig, dingle or fake either.

I never understand the panic when we lose ONE game to a very decent Wolves side
yes we started poorly, a sloppy 25 minutes
but so have many more clubs with the eerie environment behind closed doors has given us .
some are saying we are set for a long relegation battle with this one result
based on that logic Manchester Uniteds in for a long battle against relegation
NEWCASTLE LOST 3-0 in their first home game
as did West Ham , saints shipped 5 at home
and Chelsea matched our first home result
west brom and fulham had 3-0 home defeats

yet our weve been poor in the past fans insist its us that destined for relegation , based on one defeat

give your heads a wobble
worry if we are in bottom 3 after 10 games,

Name me another club that has gone up as many league places on a shoe string budget?

That’s not what you said initially.

You said we had the best transfer record in English football of the last 5 yrs.

Without looking at the minutes of every team’s dealings, Brentford’s dealings blow us out of the water.

Brentford are more or less in the position they started as we them goodbye waved on our way past. They also pay money that Wilder would've dreamed of in the Championship. See his comments re Watkins from the first season. You'll have to do a lot better than Brentford.

didnt Brentford fail to win promotion last season
whereas CW won automatic
Our squad are all premier league players, some would attract large fees

It does appear a section of our fans have somehow missed we finished in our highest league position for 45 years
yet seem to think our squad is shit and unless we get a striker in for 40 m we are doomed

no ones spent more money than Chelsea but Id argue they looked worse than we did yesterday

You can say what you want but if it's bollocks (and in my opinion most of your posts are 🤭) you will be pulled up about it.
