Sounds like it was a better match than the dire Denmark England game. Calvin Phillips in midfield looking like little boy lost with his back to Denmark goal most of the time soon as he got the ball passed it back to a CD. Ball goes out to wing Calvin Phillips pointing pass it back to CD so it did. Absolute shocking game ranks up with the worst. Commentators sticking up for Englands players saying they are not match fit and its like a pre-season friendly. Declan Rice and Calvin Phillips in midfield, dire and dreadful.
Leeds are getting a massive wake up call on Saturday methinks.

I caught some of the u21 game last night. The more Ramsdale is exposed to the lads in that group the better for me, they look fast, skillful, direct. The one piece of gk action that really caught my eye was Ramsdale taking possession and in the blink of an eye had set up an attack with a very long and accurate throw. GK distribution is becoming very important so this bodes well.

Southgate got big praise for the world cup run. Wilder would have brought the cup home.

Not sure Wilder would be a great fit for England. Minimal time with the players to actually coach them, zero development time, no squad building and only really working a handful of days a year. Of course I get the attraction in managing the best players.
Someone like Howe would seem a better fit for the FA, but it could just be wishful thinking as I don't want Wilder going anywhere for the next 10-15 years.
