There's a decent future Championship player there, in time. We've outgrown him, like we have with a lot of the additions we make.

That back 3 we play and how we do is extremely hard for some to get to grips with. He'll make a decent centre half in the Champ in future I think. Fitness and games are key for him. Writing him off as a player entirely is a bit premature I think.

Hes not done bad out of us so far and offered naff all in return..
I rekon he will be a star at weatherfield county the new Tommy Orpington, kev Webster's creaming his pants already

When he arrived we were all hopeful we had acquired a good player, didn't he choose us over rangers? Hasn't worked out for him, injured early on and, well whats happened to us since nobody could have predicted, I wish him nothing but good luck for the future, and hope he can avoide injuries, he does seem to be one of those that seem to be continually injured

He looked a decent prospect when he was playing at Oldham in league two he would have made a decent player at league one level or maybe in the Championship. Injuries and the speed that SUFC have progressed since he came here have made it hard for him to get much game time and that is what he needs game time. I don't see the need for some supporters to character assassinate the guy just because the club's progress has outstripped his progress, not really is fault either that his lady is an actor on Corrie, good luck to him i say.

Out injured now!

Didn't take long did it?

I can't work out whether he's got something seriously wrong with him - or is just a lazy, waste of space, that prefers posing in society to playing football?

Pretty shitty reporting, IMO. They've got no idea whether it was a serious injury or not, or whether it was something minor like cramp. All the manager has said is that he came off (in the 84th minute) with an injury. Fair play to him to actually going to a team to get regular football. Last thing he needs is more aggro. Let him get on with it.

I mean given you don’t know him personally or anything about the current injury. It’s probably worth not going for a character assassination on him based on literally nothing but speculation and the fact his girlfriend is in a tv soap. Just a thought.

Seems a similar situation to Moose. Hasn’t played much first team football over the last couple of years so will take time to get up to speed and will suffer from niggles as he’s doing so.

Exactly. That’s why I said I can’t work out which it is!

His life should be a sitcom.

Semi talented kid with bright future gets snapped up by richest club in the country as they hoover up all half decent prospects in Northern England.

His big wallet allows him to mingle in swanky night spots and he somehow pulls a famous soap star.

We join him as he is bombed out by City and picked up by a lower league side who take a punt on him. Now his life consists of being a stay at home Dad in his mansion (apart from 2hrs a day training/injury rehab at his new club) while his richer more famous wife goes about her day. He gets into all kinds of hilarious scrapes whilst out and about with his agent “Slick Dave”, getting into embarrassing faux pas, odd misunderstandings and dragged to celebrity events by his missus, where nobody knows who he is.

The twist comes when his new club go through a meteoric rise through the leagues and- despite him not kicking a ball- he is inexplicably front row centre of all promotion celebrations and is now a Premier League player again.

Its like a cross between Curb Your Enthusiasm and Hollyoaks.

bit harsh - you are writing with hindsight.

At the time he was a squad player covering LCD & LWB.

It simply didn't work out for either party - things like this happen

UTB
He didn't even make the bench in the championship lol. Bizarre signing.

Seem to recall he was injured in his first season, for most of it anyway. Think he was signed as one to develop but then we, as a club, developed fast and he was left behind. Would guess he'll leave this window.

It wasn't a bizarre signing at the time. He was free, covered several positions and had done well on loan in League One.

Was he free? I assumed because Celtic or Rangers (?) wanted to pay £2m for him, and he came here with a sell on for Man City, he must have cost something, even if it wasn't a lot, otherwise we could tell them to balls.

Anyway, I don't think they'll be getting anything worth having.

Athletic but looks like he's playing FIFA on dialup, reactions a mile behind the action.
