As I’m pretty happy with Moose and McBurnie as a front two and still see Sharp and Didzy having their part to play, I’ve been against the idea of us spaffing a load of money on a new striker.

So I thought I’d look at who is available as a free agent, and this chap caught my eye.
Only 20 years old and described by Monaco as the new Mbappe the season before last. He looks a great dribbler, with a lot of strength and pace... the downside is that he scored 2 goals in 1000 league minutes for Monaco last season.
But at that age (and no fee) I reckon he’d be a great option to have when teams sit deep against us and we need a dribbler to help us break through.

Good shout. Whether it's him or someone else, I'll be happy if we can keep our top players and take a punt on a few like this lad. We are a fantastic opportunity for a young ambitious striker with the right drive and talent to make a real name for themselves.

Worth pointing out that while he only got 2 in Ligue 1, he got 5 in 13 playing in Monaco B.

Obviously a much lower standard but still.

I’d be all aboard this one. Monaco have had an absurd turnover of players & a few real gems were amongst their ranks. This kid is (or at least was) very highly thought of. Shouldn’t cost a fortune in wages either.
