We can speculate why certain players aren't in today's squad but really it's a friendly (an early one) against Dundee away. There will be no point bringing certain individuals if they aren't fit or carrying a niggle. I'm happy with that for an opening friendly and clearly a good opp to blood some promising youngsters.

Pretty bad that Lundstram, Baldock, O’Connell, Rodwell, McGoldrick, McBurnie, Mousset, Moore, and Verrips have all fallen out with Wilder, been sold, or have season-ending injuries.

As these would have been rumours had just one been absent I’m assuming the rules still apply for them all being out of the squad.
