Incoming? Callum Robinson

I reckon £15m combined is realistic. Paid £7m for CR as he was in the last year of his contract and was one of the hottest prospects out of the championship. Can’t see us accepting less than £10m as he has done really well for WB and helped in getting them up.
JL is an odd one, generally, we as fans done rate him but this season in large parts has been excellent and that is why he is getting so much attention. Young, English and semi proven in the Prem in the right system. As an outsider If he was in another team we would be looking at £5/8m as a bargain...

Robinson had great feet - see Oli equaliser v Manure - but he’s a physical coward. When he tracks back he runs at the man and stops - achieving nothing. That is just like Hogan - works in some set-ups but definitely not in Wilderworld.

You have to have Lundstram commitment to the tackle and Basham gratitude for the contract to be a WilderBlade.

He knows what we respect.

I think we could get what we paid for Robinson. What was it? £6m?

Lundstram with a year left? £3-4m tops. Depends how many are willing to buy him now.

You can not be serious ....lightweight and bits of promise ..at best ...not a disastrous buy as we might get back half what we paid for him ...but not a good buy either .....won’t be missed ..let’s move on
You either have an agenda against him as you've complained about him since we signed him or just dislike his qualities as a striker, him being lightweight etc - Which is fine, a lot of his qualities are more suited to the wing as I said (looks better being played out wide).

"Let's move on" - Yeah I suggested this in my post when I wrote "Probably best for his career if he moves on to a team where he will get played."

Not sure why you've posted like you're disagreeing with me, when we seem to agree when it comes to Robinson.

We paid £7 million for Callum Robinson and I believe he only had a year left on his contract when we bid that. Given he's still only 25 and has a few years left on his contract, and has another period of being a very good Championship player, along with some PL experience under his belt, I think we should be looking for something around £10 million. He and or his agent should be making clear that it didn't work out with us because we don't play with wide men, and so he had to adjust to a new position in a league he'd never experienced before.

Looks like there’s movement

Agents at work.

Been instructed to find him a new club, doesn’t see himself playing a lot next season, fancies a move to WBA and so chucks in “Other clubs interested including a perm side” just to try and speed up a deal.

Hope he gets sorted, we recoup what he’s cost (fee and wages and enough to cover any sell in fee) and he never scores against us.
We can use that towards a more suited replacement.

if you think in this Current financial climate we will get £18 million for Robinson and Lundstram then you need to plan a visit to this world some time soon ..if we got half that it would be a result
Thinking like a PL manager scouting our players bdd. Littl ol Sheffield United, cheap as chips, get em for nowt.
No we are a PL club and we should hold out for PL fees, no ones gonna sell us their players cheap!

He has all the right attributes other needs more experience of playing through the middle and needs to “man up “ as seems to back out of fifty fifties very rarely he wins tackles

Any ITKs able to shed light on whether there is truth in the rumour we might be getting this Robinson guy when we settle on our squad of 25? Three unstoppable finishes yesterday past Foderingham. Looks useful.

More concerned that Foderingham doesn't look useful....

I don't think he does. He's not scarily fast, or strong & certainly can't play with his back to goal and bring others into play.

He works well facing goal, in wide areas, running at defences. A position we rarely get players in.

For me in Pre season and the few minutes he played first half of last season, he was dropping too deep. Especially when he was partnered with Didzy it was like playing with 2 CAM's and no strikers. Theres players who are better at this, Didzy and McBurnie we need someone on the shoulder of the last defender running in behind, im far from convinced Robinson is that player, my worry is he impresses in pre season and training like he did last year and we end up without a proper goalscorer.
