Anyway in answer to the question I would have him back
But even if he took a big wage cut I think still think his wage demands would take up the bulk of the budget and I think the funds could be spent better on other players.

My mates a Everton fan, who has also heard the transfer rumour.
He says his wages are £50k a week and still got another year left in him at PL level, pointed out that he was playing for England in November.
He'd be an experienced player for us at Champs level, I just can't see us getting him TBH.
Be amazing if he did come.
I can see him going into coaching, certainly a model pro and would fit seamlessly into the current ethos which CW has engendered.

Yes, English is a strength of mine but it is evidently not one of yours.

Yes, I was there on that awful day when he 'handled' the ball. Was it intentional? Was it fuck. If you think that he intentionally handled the ball to see us relegated and in turn manufacture a move to another club then you are an idiot.

I've not once said that he will sign for us and to be fair, I don't think he will. I am just completely baffled by your 'theory', whether you were being serious or not.

Of course he intentionally handled the ball. That's why it ended up on the spot!

He didn't do it to engineer a move or for any malicious purpose, but he certainly handled it deliberately.

However, he didn't give a fuck about it or us. He couldn't wait to fuck off to Everton and hasn't been seen or heard since. Fuck him.

It's not really factual is it that he intentionally handled the ball? You and a few others may feel that he intended to do it but I'm sure there are far more people, including myself, who do not.
 

Think the point being made is that if it is not deliberate handball at that time, then it's not a penalty.

I think now handball is handball but until recently amended, accidental handball was not a penalty.

A penalty was given so in the eyes of the officials it was intentional.

Might be coincidental that the following period worked out much better for him than us. Surprised this doesn't receive more attention. Though Brown and Jagielka were Warnock's clear favourites so perhaps this is part of the reason.

Not only that, a lad in the boozer last night said there is a strong rumour we are in talks with Chesterfield about bringing Ched Evens back to SUFC, you heard it hear first!

Has Jags been given another year?

I've seen it rumoured but not confirmed , however he's on our wiki page as a first team squad player with a squad number whereas all the other players out of contract have been removed.

Looking at that squad we are desperately short of defensive competition/cover.
