I think if he's not here he'll go abroad. Man U won't loan him to a team that's a rival (Chelsea) and probably won't sell him, but a German club? Maybe.

Schalke needed a keeper I think, they sold theirs to Bayern and their number 2 is wank, would be playing against Bayern, Dortmund, Leverkusen, RB Leipzig etc - a different challenge.

Thanks Deano, you were great, you came on the journey and will always be welcomed back. I do think if you'd not played hardball with Ole you'd have returned here for a third season, unfortunately there's no way we'd pay all your wages. This has forced the hand and you may end up on the bench or have to drop a division which would be a waste of your talent. Keep learning because as good as you are there as still plenty more to learn.

ps enjoyed those tequillas at the end of season last year, a good man always gets his round in, as you did!

Consistent, composed, accomplished and matured in the second year.

Professional and dedicated throughout, a role model for young Blades and above all else, successful. He shows an attention to detail and every ounce of committment to his game that usually takes a player to the very top, and differentiates the best from the rest.

And most importantly of all, he embraced life as a Blade since day one.

I hope he stays for another year, but if not, he'll get the sort of send off a loanee would never typically receive - and he'll have earned it.
