can we take a minute to appreciate this quality photoshop job on the architectural rendering.

Highlight is Wilder and Knill on the balcony. Didzy sort of floating there a close second. Also what's with the weird ghost on the far right of the balcony?

Shirecliffe (the training ground not the estate) really is outdated. I welcome this move.

Just needs a ceiling cat or thumb boy added incongruously to finish it off nicely.

Is it just me that thinks it looks like Martin Cranie pissed up with just his pants on again?

One added detail: we’ve gone for the same architects that have done the designs on the stadium expansion, and who did the corner stand. I wonder if that’s an indication that we are planning to go with their plans on the stadium as well, when the opportunity arises.

Is this the surprise that was mentioned when confirmation came that it was know owned by the Prince

Cost anywhere from £800k to £2.2m https://www.modulek.co.uk/case-studies-2/sheffield-wednesday/

If you read back on the plans for academy this was always the first stage. It was to bring facilities for the first team to be upscaled. The 2nd stage is the building of the academy for non-first team activities (Norton?) and then the 3rd stage was to move the first team to the new academy.

Assume this building can be relocated to the new location as part of the masterplan, so Wilder gets his world class building and the squad benefits quicker whilst the long term solution goes through planning etc.
