Respectfully disagree. Not enough pace for a start.I respectfully disagree.
I think McBurnie is an excellent striker, we need to create more chances for him. This is his first season at PL level, give him time and he will prove himself.
If McBurnienpl played as a number 9 hed score a lot more goals. I feel our lack of creativity means he goes looking for the ball too much, stay in the box and get on the end of stuff, thats how you score more.Respectfully disagree. Not enough pace for a start.
Not saying he isn’t good enough. What I’m saying is, if we want to move to the next level, next season, like CWAK do, he’s on the bench. If McBurnienpl played as a number 9 hed score a lot more goals. I feel our lack of creativity means he goes looking for the ball too much, stay in the box and get on the end of stuff, thats how you score more.
Re pace, we need more throughout the side but you can accommodate a number 9 who isn't quick if there is pace out wide...ask Harry Kane, Danny Ings and Chris Wood
McBurnie is not one of the players I'd be looking to replace. Build the team around Egan, JOC, Bash, Baldock, Stevens, Fleck, Berge (as hes guaranteed givwn his fee) and McBurnie. Its the other 3 positions we need to upgrade.
I'd definitely let Lunny go, enjoyed a golden spell first half of the season butnhes not worth a big contract and I want a.player in that position who can run with the ball and go round his marker not pass it backwards or sideways.

If Norwichalona can ask £50m for a defender that can’t defend for toffee, £50m for Fleck is like giving him away for free!£50 million for Fleck.
McDonnell has been a rock .
Where does he play?!
Agreed. He's had the face on since Berge signed , his pointing at the back of his shirt routine took the gloss off his winner v Bournemouth as well ( retrospectively, I went apeshit at the time). When Lundstram comes on, the expression on his face tells me he thinks he's doing us a favour.
He can cough for me.
(I'm being polite)

All players are replaceable .
I can see 8 to 10 going with Wilder showing a ruthless streak finished though to build on this seasons remarkable assault against 18 wealthier clubs.
The defence has shone out this season.
McDonnell has been a rock . The way the season had to end with the rapid games coming thick and fast proved to unravel us a bit . Our lack of experience in this league showed a bit. I reckon we lost 6 to 8 points as we lost our momentum and our game system unravelled and the flow we had only came out in 3 or 4 of the last 11.
We need some experienced players
But we need a goal finisher that will get 12 to 15 a season at this level above all else.
Have loved having Sharp and mcgoldrick
this season but it's time to move on. Both are another year older and we need more greyhounds than saint bernards
Probably more to do with the fact that John Fleck has been one of best players all season and just as Fleck gets injured so does FreemanMaybe I’m being a bit naive, but I can’t see what Luke Freeman has done wrong. Is his game time limited by lack of ability, or a spat with Wilder?
Think we might start to hear more rumours of players wanting to leave, I didn't think at the time the Leicester criticism was a good idea given how the players have performed this season, calling them league one / championship players will have hurt them no end, they're in the top ten of the highest league, on relative wages to championship players, I think he's had more than one player pull him and now fears others will look for a move this window..
I thought for some time Fleck would return to Rangers, I can see that happening as we've just been dealing with them and playing osborn in flecks role.. Flecks name will have come up no doubt.
Mousse, lundstram and C Robinson are almost certs to go, Leeds and west brom for the English lads wouldn't be a shock..
I worry about Leeds, they do seem to take the cherries off our bakewells a little to regularly for my liking, and will be paying more in wages now than we are, only thing in our favour this time is biesla will look abroad, what'll go against us though is he's played us in the Championship, so knows how good JOC and Egan are.. We could survive with the back 4 we now have, theyre the ones needed for next season.. Keep it tight at the back and survival is more possible.
Wilder had hinted / said we are selling to strengthen, but I worry much less cause we don't get our pants pulled down with him in the negotiation seat, mcabe used to take magic beans, and snatch thier hands off..
Trust the gaffer, but I get the feeling he's insulted them after the season of thier lives.
Lunny was or is naive if he thought he wouldn't have competition for his place in the squad. Maybe he didn't like the way Berge just walked straight into the team which to be fair some of us did question that at the time.
He was praising them yesterday though, I think most the players know it was a shocking performance against Leicester. Wilder knows his players and they put effort in yesterday but it just wasn't happening in the final third.
The league 1 championship comparison was him just highlighting how you can look if you don't perform at 100% against a PL club.
I get that, but he's got to remember how far they've developed, and the teams they're facing aren't mugs, I know they've sold and weakens but that team won the league a couple of years ago... His frustration may have clouded his judgment, we know how quick "good lads" can turn into premadonnas with outrageous demands, look at lunny, bit part player stalling and wanting 60k a week apparently..

I agree with this assessment of McB - when he was scoring for Swansea and Barnsley he was playing at the top of the pitch, finishing chances created for him and being a general nuisance for defenders. Whether by design or circumstance, when he plays for us he's almost used as a target man (think Kevin Davies at Bolton) or he's dropping deep to help bridge the gap between midfield and attack. He should be in the box looking to finish the chances, not helping to create them. Too many times we play balls into the opposition's box and there's no-one there to attack them.If McBurnienpl played as a number 9 hed score a lot more goals. I feel our lack of creativity means he goes looking for the ball too much, stay in the box and get on the end of stuff, thats how you score more.

Plenty of opportunities to use Freeman, when Fleck or Didsy we’re injured.Probably more to do with the fact that John Fleck has been one of best players all season and just as Fleck gets injured so does Freeman
Sounds more reasonable, thanks. He’s not done anything wrong. I think people think he may wish to move on to play more football. Personally I think he’s a great player and have done since he used to tear us a new one at Stevenage. If he decides to go looking for first team football then good luck to him imo, hate footballers who are happy to pick up a wave doing F all when they’re in a privileged profession most would die for.
Our strikers have done ok but not sure teams like Southampton or Brighton are creating tons more chances.
We’re currently 7th bottom on goals scored. On xG, we’re 6th bottom. We’ve basically scored 3 fewer goals based on what would be expected with the chances we’ve had, which isn’t a huge difference really. We’ve conceded 10 fewer than you’d expect on the chances we’ve allowed. I think this is why Wilder is talking about improving the quality at the top of the pitch rather than creating more – getting in players to help us exceed what’s expected on what we’re already creating. We are the only team that aren’t matching or bettering their xG in the top 10.
Plenty of opportunities to use Freeman, when Fleck or Didsy we’re injured. - No there werent as he was injured for a lot / most of that time
Maybe his face doesn’t fit, or Osborn turned out to be a better choice? - I personally dont think Osborne is better form what Ive seen of them both, but mayb CW doesnt fancy him, thats certianly not the main reason hes been out though injury has been the main reason.
Not heard anything about Freeman’s injuries on here or anywhere else? - He hes had two spells out injured this season including being injured right now for most of project restart. CW said a "long standing issue has flared up" which indicates hes been struggling or suffering with something for quite a whilre possible from when he was first injured in and around Jan.
Can’t even be a rare Covid problem, because he’s been out too long.
Seriously, what’s the score with him? Everyone singing his praises when he stepped in for Fleck, earlier this season.
And .... if they get bids they goThey gav
They have new 2 year contracts
