Take your rose tinted spectacles off as Wilder said after the Leicester game those games don't matter it is the here and now that matters.

I thought the Leicester game was a disgrace but that tonight tops the lot.

There is simply no excuse for that performance i can take losing if we give it our all and have a go and take the game to the opposition but we didn't even have 1 shot on target their young centre back was playing for Carlisle in December in league 2 ffa and we didn't put him under any real pressure at all.

I hope Chris Wilder is backed in the summer because if I were him I would be looking at replacing our strike force bar McBurnie Midfield I would only keep Berge Fleck and Osborn.

Baldock O Connell Egan Basham I would keep but I would be looking for a new left back If I were Wilder Stevens has just been to inconsistent for me.

If we are to finish top half again next season we need to add some real quality In my opinion.

I think we all know that we need to strengthen, but to call out the lads as spineless is beyond acceptable
We expected a tough season and we have collected more points than the other 2 promoted teams added together
We were undone by the free kick of a £50m player, scored by a £80m player
I thought today we looked better than against Leicester, but not the team that smashed Chelsea

Manchester United have real quality that can destroy any team and silly mistakes cost us dearly and yes i wasn't happy about that performance but nothing compared to that spineless display tonight.

How anyone can defend that is beyond me not 1 shot on target is absolutely ridiculous we have had 1 shot on target in 180 minutes of football.

No matter how people try and dress it up that is shocking and no excuse for it at all.

As a team that prides itself on pride passion and commitment and never say die spirit I did not see any against Leicester and I certainly did not see any this evening.

I am at a loss as to how we can go from playing some brilliant football even with minimal possession and showing real pride passion and commitment and never say die spirit to falling apart in the last 2 games.

We went out with a wimper you would never have guessed that we were fighting for a place in Europe it was gutting to watch and beyond frustrating.

Whether something has gone off behind the scenes I dont know but something was clearly amiss because that was not the Blades team that have done us proud for the vast majority of the season.

It was the 0 shots on target that has done me i can take losing if we have a real go at teams but it was the fact we didn't even test Pickford once or put pressure on the young lad in the centre of their defence.

We made it too easy for them trying to walk the ball in, i would just love for our players to take some shots regardless of where they end up at least they would be having a go.

The Villa game was diabolical and we were robbed and Newcastle game we made them look like Barcelona individual errors and sheer stupidity cost us there.

Against Man Utd moments of class told there and silly mistakes.

But that yesterday evening was painful to watch because it looked like they had never played together before there was no quality in the final 3rd at all.

The lack of quality in the final 3rd is there for all to see anyway if we don't make wholesale changes upfront next season there is something seriously wrong because we are just not good enough and that performance today was absolutely criminal.

I will praise the team in equal measure just like i did in the Spurs Wolves and Chelsea games where we were brilliant.

We all have our own opinion and i just happen to have been very pissed off at what I saw yesterday evening and rightly so because we went out with a wimper it was truly awful to watch.

I cant for the life of me understand why we didn't get players in the box or at least have a few efforts at pickford who can be a bit jittery at the best of times.

And they had a young lad Branthwaite that was playing at Carlisle back in December we didn't put the lad under any real pressure at all it was really frustrating to watch because we are far better than that

Like I said if I thought you were being serious I would question statements like worse performance in many years, obviously you haven’t been watching us that long. I bloody love this team and want to thank them again for lifting me from the terraces of despair of Stevenage, Dagenham and Yeovil to the dizzying heights of Premiership glory. More points than the other two promoted teams put together. Fkin epic season. Of course we are knackered - running through brick walls week after week tends to take its toll. We have saved our worst performances until last...when we have already secured our place in this league for next season. Still pinching myself. Tell you what else what are you going to do WHEN we have a really bad run because believe you me it will come at one point. What you and other idiots like you will do is take to social media to scream and shout and probably demand the sacking of the manager.

We ran out of steam.

Squad too small to allow much room for rotation, picked up injuries late on that affected us more than most due to squad size, short on real quality in the squad means every player has to be at 100% for us even to stay in most games and three games a week since resumption just not sustainable for all the reasons already quoted.

Additionally much of our success has been based on really understanding the oppositions strengths and weaknesses so that our players knew exactly how to play and the continual quick turn arounds meant that we did not have the preparation time required to equip ourselves properly, and not having fans at games definitely affected us more than most as the better quality opposition players were able to play without pressure and at a lower tempo, which again did us no favours.

Overall I think the circumstances of the restart completely stuffed us, we would have done better if the season had played out without the break, but it's been a magnificent effort from all involved and they should be proud of their achievements.

I'm looking forward to next season even though I don't think there will be many personnel changes but hopefully we will have crowds back, better preparation time for games, and we will be able to pick up where we left off in March.

No, giving your opinions doesn’t make you an attention seeking prick. However, the number of posts you have made on this and other threads repeatedly restating the same points does leave you open to criticism. No-one would argue that it was a relatively poor performance last night. However, talk of players ‘hanging their heads in shame‘ that you made in your original post is patently ridiculous for a team that has come from nowhere, worked on a relative shoestring budget and secured a top half finish in their first Premiership season. So yes they are jaded and knackered. As I said in an earlier post, running through brick walls on a weekly basis eventually does give you a sore head on occasions. In contrast to your earlier comments, I believe this Blades team has passion, pride and desire in spades and unlike any I have seen in over 55 years of supporting them. I actually find the the style of comments you make in that original post insulting to a team that has given so much over so long. By all means express opinions but don’t pretend that rhetoric and invective dressed up as opinions actual gives them the status of opinions. Or if you do, expect a strong response in return. Stevens before Covid-19 was in the running for POTY. To call the performance at the administration thieves a disgrace, is, got to be careful what word I use here, ignorant at best! Nobody could argue that the administration thieves weren’t full value for the win, but disgrace? They did to us what we’ve done to 95% of the teams in this league all season. Feel free to call us a disgrace when we’ve spent what the administration thieves have spent. Feel free to call us a disgrace when we have the same wage bill as them.
