That was the most spineless display I have seen for many many years that was beyond pathetic it looked like we fielded 10 defenders I have not been as angry at the end of a match for many years the players need to hang their heads in shame for that absolutely disgraceful performance i didn't think it could get any worse than the Leicester game but that was an absolute joke.

The lack of quality in the final 3rd is there for all to see anyway if we don't make wholesale changes upfront next season there is something seriously wrong because we are just not good enough and that performance today was absolutely criminal.

Wilder asked for more, he got all the huff and puff but tried way TOO hard. Quality lacked and we were no threat on goal from open play.

Oh well, top 10 finish is quality and more than I ever expected. Europe would've been a huge bonus.

It wasn't even the worst performance since lockdown ended.

I'm not going to sugar coat a bad performance but a bit of perspective, please.
 
It was just very very boring. We never did anything that got me on the edge of my seat. We look very easy to defend against at the moment, partly down to the fact that the last two teams we have played have done a very good job on us, but we lack hugely in creativity.

We lack the quality to break teams down when they sit in. Fleck made a difference when he came on but our lack of ability to hold the ball up in attack meant we could never turn that final ball into a quality chance.

I think Basham was our most dangerous player going forward today, which is good in the sense that we're still attempting to create overloads but it's really poor for the rest of the team.

Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing while watching. They are over thinking. Other than "those 3 matches" we have been quite frankly way below average since the restart. I said after Leicester that Sharp was the only one with desire to win the ball back... same applies today, although Zivkovic looked lively. Seems to be a LOT more long balls since we restarted too. I'm getting a bit sick of seeing Enda/Baldock on the wing passing it all the way back to defence when the team gets into attacking positions and then we lose all forward momentum. I don't mind it every now and then when needed, but it's just becoming a bit... obvious?
 
I bloody love this team and want to thank them again for lifting me from the terraces of despair of Stevenage, Dagenham and Yeovil to the dizzying heights of Premiership glory. More points than the other two promoted teams put together. Fkin epic season. Of course we are knackered - running through brick walls week after week tends to take its toll. We have saved our worst performances until last...when we have already secured our place in this league for next season. Still pinching myself. Looking jaded - still looking like a team of heroes to me

Pleased in many ways. last two games have shown that we are not a top 6 Premiership team. But the season has shown we are a Premiership team and top 10 is brilliant Don't forget more points than Villa and Norwich together But there was no point going into the close season thinking all we have to do is turn up next season. We have to improve Wilder has to work out how to play against teams that sit back on a lead. Or has to get us in front in more matches. McBurnie and Sharpe fine McGoldrick not a striker Mouse gone we need at least one forward nasty bully with speed Calvert style to give us more options

I recall us fading away into 10th in our first season back in the Champ. We came back stronger and we all know what happened next. CWAK will have a master plan I’m sure.

There could even be a bit of a tweak on Sunday... wouldn’t surprise me if Berge started in CM.

Fooking amazing season all the same. I have had a lot of moments of pure joy during this campaign. Billy’s equaliser against Bournemouth. The demolishing of Burnley. Beating Arsenal. Flecks first against Villa. McBurnie’s goal away at Brighton. Battering Spurs. Egan’s last minute winner versus Wolves. The drubbing of Chelsea to name just a few.
Most satisfying of all though was continually proving every know it all wrong week after week!

What a team... and I know we’re going to come back even better!

Take your rose tinted spectacles off as Wilder said after the Leicester game those games don't matter it is the here and now that matters.

I thought the Leicester game was a disgrace but that tonight tops the lot.

There is simply no excuse for that performance i can take losing if we give it our all and have a go and take the game to the opposition but we didn't even have 1 shot on target their young centre back was playing for Carlisle in December in league 2 ffa and we didn't put him under any real pressure at all.

I hope Chris Wilder is backed in the summer because if I were him I would be looking at replacing our strike force bar McBurnie Midfield I would only keep Berge Fleck and Osborn.

Baldock O Connell Egan Basham I would keep but I would be looking for a new left back If I were Wilder Stevens has just been to inconsistent for me.

If we are to finish top half again next season we need to add some real quality In my opinion.

At the end of the day I am actually really happy that we are in the top half of the league and I am 100% behind Chris Wilder.

But the last 2 games were 2 of the most spineless performances I have seen from a Blades team and it was painful to watch.

I just hope and pray Chris Wilder is backed by the Prince because I worry that if we don't sign a better quality of player up top and in the midfield next season we could struggle.

If the rumours are true about Moussett it looks like he is on his way which is gutting because when he was on it he was a real game changer and won us a fair few games this season.

I hope and pray the Prince comes out and backs Wilder because personally I think as goalscorers go we will only have 1 left and that could be classed as Premier League quality if Moussett goes and that is McBurnie.
