I've had a few beers, so that's part of it admittedly.

But tonight epitomises the journey we've been on. We've just dismantled Chelsea, probably one of the top 4 clubs in the land. We've done it on a fraction of the sort of budget enjoyed by the rest of the top half of the prem.

4 years ago we were staring at our 6th season in league one, we put up with years of shit. We're now competing with the big boys and legitimately one of the top 10 teams in the country. The progress we've made is utterly astounding and yes we're getting some credit nationally, but only we know what this really means, and the work it's taken to get here. - fuck the pundits, especially those who wrote us off and even those patronisingly patting us on the head, we fucking know what we've been through to get here, and how much we love the squad and the management staff who have done it.

And the whole current situation adds to it all. We've just had possibly one of the best results in a decade and we can't go for a post match drink and enthuse about it in the pub, I'm really genuinely missing that tonight, that game needs to be dissected, celebrated and enjoyed with my mates, and I can't.

Last point has to be for the gaffer though. Chris Wilder is a legend already, easily the best manager of my lifetime supporting United without doing anything else from this point. But the best thing is, he won't settle, we will take beating Chelsea 3-0 and we'll kick on again, he will demand no less. We will target winning these last 3 and where that might take us. I don't think we're finished on this journey and hopefully life will be back to normal at some point to enjoy what the next stage brings.

So, so proud to be a Blade tonight.

............and I still remember a time when we feared Walsall, Stevenage, Gillingham & Yeovil.

I welled up a bit when the clock ticked over 90' today. I'm not ashamed. Little old sheff united from the pub league. mixing it with the elite? What CW & AK have done is nothing short of miraculous. We are one of the top 10 teams in the country right now. No amount of pig propaganda can change that. We are a club that are deservedly competing with the elite of the game, that is a fact.

Special kebab ordered courtesy of Dem Blades. A nice 5/1 Betfair has paid for that plus away flights. Muchos beer drunk so will stay in. YouTube music looms.😎

Balls to Walsall if wilder sets us up right next time we play them then we won’t be embarrassed. I’d be happy with a narrow 2 1 defeat

Summat in my eye anorl

No apologies necessary, I was well emotional tonight.

Grew up in South West like a an absolute loner, we all loved football but the lot of them support Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea or Spurs/Arse. No one knew who we were when I was a kid and took the piss out of me relentlessly.

All of a sudden, at 30 years of age, we're on an even keel and I fucking love it. Up The Blades.

MOTD....hankies out people. I'll blame chilli sauce.😎 Norwich down, Cantwell on the bench. What reason?....

I've got a heart bypass operation on Tuesday, admission to NGH tomorrow and recent results have just left me with a warm glow and optimism for the future. Not sure I will be compus mentis for thé Leicester match on Thursday but you can bet your bottom dollar the first thought i'll have when I come round will be how the Blades did.

Proud to be a Blade
