Has the two matches to date pointed to anything being any different from last season ?
What makes you think things will be different this year:
We have a better goalkeeper this year - Valid Point
We have predominantely the same players Morgan, Monty, Quinn, Bartley, Nosworthy, Ward, Yeates, Cresswell, Taylor, Henderson, France, Williamson, Evans
We have added Britton (yet to prove) Boggy (yet to prove) Kozluk and Ertl - all free transfers
We have played the same tactics
We have again gone through a match v inferior opposition and managed just one shot and thast coming in the last minute
Forget lists and whose done it before - Blackwell hasn't had one game he's had nearly three seasons and the tripe served up now is getting worse by the week
He whinges and moans squad size, lack of subs on the bench, international matches, cup ties early in the season and listening to him before the game at Hartlepool - he'd lost it before kick off.
He will blame anybody and everybody except himself
He is an arrogant bully who is extremely fortunate to be in a job !
Good reply Swiss - however I re-iterate that I used Bassett as an example ( a previous manager of Senior Status ) to help Speedo with the day to day trials of football management - not his long ball tactics
Coppell, who has achieved immeasurably more in football than Hoof ever will!

Bassett was not always so direct as the establishment would have us believe. I met him and he laughed at the notion and allowed them to continue with the thought. Yes, he used direct approach but , importantly, he used wide men to get in crosses from the bye line for Deane and Agana. We do not do that and rely on the target man for almost everything. This one dimensional approach will be ours, at KBs undoing. Thats my view anyway!
Last year at the Lane, Swansea passed themselves into defeat and out of the play-offs, no attempt to create pressure. There are times for being direct, so let's not make it out to be the Devil's tool.
if you want Man U, get on your bike.
you could have really got my hopes up and said Blackwell quits and Stephen Quinn have been sold.
I just think our expectations are too high and yet we refuse to acknowledge the high level of skill that is on the pitch (compared to us sunday footballers).

If Speed is the boss he would decide which tactics to use - as coach he can only advise - if Blackwell rejects his advice theres not alot he can do about it!As regards Bassett - I only used him as an example of a senior football figure with a vast experience of football management but as usual you don't read the full statement - Just pick bits and bobs and make sarcastic comments!
Anf Finally - Where are these potential improvements this year are we talking Kozluk
This time last year we had Kilgallon, Naysmith (albeit injured), Sharp, Reid, Howard, - Replace them with Ertl, Jordan, Britton, Boggy, Same Owd, Same Owd
Only improvement I can see is Simonsen but.......................................................
Remind me Swiss, Hartlepool fast flowing attacking football or Hoof it! I rest my case!
