Hope the morons are eating humble pie. Considering age, fitness, playing out of position he's been top drawer since he arrived at Bramall Lane. If you can't appreciate this kid you don't understand football. Technical and physical masterclass today. Anybody know what brand of cigars he smokes when he's playing?

He makes holding the ball up look so easy. Or other players often look like they have to"battle" to keep it, but the last two games he's just looked so strong and composed even when the opposition have been trying to get it off him.

We've got a good one there...

After he scored the camera was on him for a bit and he couldn't stop smiling. Made up for the lad.
The problem was the rest of the players were too and Spurs went straight down and 'scored'!

There is a good player there after all. Fantastic play for the third goal!

Nothing personal, but we knew there was a good player in there from the off. From what we knew from his time in Belgium and playing for Norway, anyone could see he was a good player. But he has started slowly, but its not surprising given all various factors I've said on another post. Mainly you get much less space in the PL, his lack of urgency when on the ball probably stemmed from what he was used to and now he's adjusting and he's Norwegian, he plays in a team with John Egan....... :-)

Yes I agree and I wasn't critical of him. I was getting a little concerned though that maybe he wasn't going to cope with the pace of the game. He was poor for their goal, but I think he was knackered by then!

Some players make an impact on their debut like Bobby Davison.

Some players take a month or two like Jack O’Connell

Some take a couple of seasons to come good like Paul Coutts.

.....and some take 3 spells over a near 10 year period before properly making their mark like Billy Sharp.

It’s beyond me why people feel the need to write players off, or labelling them a disappointment after a mere handful of games.

Very happy for him tonight. That £25m will look a snip in years to come.

Sort of player that this midfield has been needing for years, a big bugger who can do a bit of everything when for years its like we've had combinations of snow whites dwarves.

Taken a while but he seems to have got it tonight where its clicked about how to play Premier League football compared to Belgian League.

Onwards and upwards, as much as we might have doubted the wisdom of signing him and a few others, CWAK and the gang know what they're doing.

Oppposition players just bounce off him. Keeps the ball so well.

If he’s to be Norwoods replacement out style of play may have to change slightly but he’s looked absolute class last couple of games.

Those stating he was crap and a waste of money after a handful of performances are probably the same ones stating we would be in a relegation battle next season based on a few sub standard performances after the restart.

In other words - Utter Bedwetters!

He’s developing nicely. Something I mentioned in the January window in response to Beans and Roygbiv On the Bladespod when they said why spend in jan.

Berge is exactly the reason to spend in jan when you’re having a good season, player comes in from overseas, young lad, new league, new country, new team, new system and he has several months to settle, fit in and develop.

Come the new season he’s raring to go as a real force
