Never really seen Verrips - went off injured against AFC Fylde so a bit unfair to comment. That said I think we'll need someone with more experience if we can't get Hendo back.

Ramsdale would be a good shout if Bournemouth go down. Seems to have developed well since leaving the Lane.

It was in WW1 that first hit by Zepplin was Burngreave cemetery, WW2 I believe, Norton Lee's / Gleadless took the first hit

No, Wilder has and he doesn’t seem keen given that he plays Moore instead of him. Hence why I’d like someone better.

That is a fair point. If he's no better than a player who's only turned out twice in two seasons what was the point signing him ? Unless he's taking the stuff that Lunny must have taken last summer and he'll emerge as a stunning Prem quality keeper

I'm not saying that he's not a good backup keeper but we need a first choice keeper of the level of Henderson, if Verrips was good enough I'm assuming he'd have played against Man Utd.

I'm not sure about the clamouring for Ramsdale. I don't see what the hype is about.

From what bits I've seen he has come on quite a lot, being behind a better defence will help.

I havent but its telling that Moore was preferred against Man Urd. Unless its some sort of contract thing with Verrips transfer

Getting Henderson for a 3rd season would be a huge coup. Just can't see it happening unfortunately. Wouldn't be surprised if OGS sent him on loan somewhere else, maybe Europe over over a 3rd loan to us or staying at Man Utd.

Think if we can scrape into Europe next season, Man Utd may lend us Henderson again. That is his next logical step of development, playing (probably minor) European competition (Spurs/Chelsea etc).
You've got to wonder how bad Verrips must be if he can't get in ahead of Moore who is a lower table championship keeper at the very best/most optimistic view.

My preferred option is obviously Henderson but I see that as unrealistic.

Southampton will have 3 decent keepers with Forster, McCarthy & Gunn so one will have to go.

I thought we were not allowed to play him as there is still an ongoing dispute, between him and the previous club? I am sure this is not yet resolved and if we play him and the shit hits the fan we could be in trouble? I might be wrong but I am sure the legal case is still on going?
