And for every one of those, there's 3 cock ups.

No doubt he can pull out a top drawer save every now and then, but he's one of those keepers that just gives you the shits.
Know the feeling. Hendo loves a clanger in a close game! Leeds and Liverpool??

Pukki would be a great shout for us and he wouldnt cost more than £17-25m.

He has that turn of pace to overtake defenders on the through ball runs and an excellent record of finishing his chances.

Would complement (and is different to) what we already have and I have faith in that CWs signings will develop in time, examples being Moose, Billy and McB.
Pukki is overrated, Buendia however is class

Hendo has dropped about 4 or 5 bollocks tops in two seasons and made probably a hundred outstanding saves with a Blades badge on his chest.
I doubt there’s many dropped more at this level and I see your point, but you don’t see proper top keepers dropping any these days. Allison got example?

Pope, Lloris, Patricio, Ederson, Leno, Pickford, McCarthy, De Gea and Dubravka have all got more errors leading to goal than Henderson. Some have a lot more.

That’s two....ok. But you must see my point. It’s the bigger picture too, and not just him. It’s the magnitude of the games when the mistakes happen too. Keepers have to make mistakes by virtue of their exposure but not in the biggest games like Henderson?

That’s a broad statement without stats?

They may well have but are we to dismiss the other 20 odd games where we have been far better? It was a one off game they are where they are because the deserve to be there. We are where we are because we deserve to be as well.
It seems people are forgetting what we have done this season and are concentrating on the 3 poor performances extraordinary in circumstances. It’s starting to become extremely tedious!
Not forgetting anything, everyone has an opinion however "tedious" anybody thinks it is!
I stated fact, today Norwich played better than we have in the last 3 games!! Can you honestly argue that point, a clue, it's a 'yes or no' answer!?

You think I know that without consulting stats?

Fair point, tell yoobehst
Want another?

keep em coming. One keeper is about to smash the premier league title records, the other isn’t.
So a genuine question, where’s Henderson playing next year, us or Man Utd? And if it’s us why don’t they fancy him?? I always look at the bigger picture.....

If they can keep their squad together, they'll come straight back up. They've got a youngish back bone to the team & they've already agreed deals for a few young players with promise for next season.

They do fancy him, but they're paying De Gea £350k a week, and no-one wants to take him off their hands with those wages so they'll be playing their most pricey asset with the hope that he earns his wages and entices someone to take them over with an added fee.

As for where he's playing, I think he could very well challenge De Gea next season, but based on Henderson's comments, he wants to be a guaranteed starter, so will likely be playing elsewhere, but it might not be us.

Allison. He’s in the most successful team going. Not personal stats, team stats and so on.

Then that's not a fair measure to judge Henderson then is it? Because he's not in the most successful team going. If he was he'd have more clean sheets etc.

Either of Newcastle's first 2 goals count towards Henderson's?

Why??????????????

Go home.

I'm just questioning how valid these specific 'stats' are.

They don't include times where a keepers positioning is questionable.....
Or where they make big saves that contribute to points.

But why? You aren't a Blade? Surely life isn't that boring for you?

Went to Uni there, then lived there, went to many a Blades game there, met the mother of my son there (Her dad bought him a Blades shirt, but i'm teaching him the usual "Dirty Northern etc" for whenever we play anyone North of Derby).

I like the club.
Problem?

Hope our lot would have been able to watch a bit of it. Norwich were dreadful for their first two games like us and have really responded well. Other thoughts:

If Norwich had Sharp they could well have stayed up.

Should look at a few of them should they go down, perhaps Krul for a season should we fail to keep Hendo.
They should sign Ched.

I once knobbed a lass that supported Stoke City I don't go on their boards

When it gets darker and darker, stop digging mate..

As demonstrated on other threads , some on here have become giddy to the point of being delusional as to the type of player we are able to attract / afford . Good examples of this are suggestions such as Kyle Walker and even Willian . FFS get real .

With regard to Norwich players , it is blindingly obvious that the likes of Cantwell and Pukki will attract offers from clubs who can make much better offers than we are able to , both in terms of the transfer fee and wages .

However , they have one player who should be within our reach and worthy of a serious punt and that is Onel Hernandez . This guy has pace , skill , strength and determination , qualities which have been sadly lacking in some of our forwards in recent times . He reminds me in many ways of Traore at Wolves and we all know how much better they are as an attacking force when he is on the pitch .

For those of you who are ready to hit the keyboard with the simplistic "He's a winger , we don't do wingers " mantra I would suggest that he is a forward who is comfortable going wide as are Rashford and Stirling to name just two , but certainly not averse to coming inside and causing all sorts of problems for defenders .
