Wilder has never been one for clarity when it comes to injuries I don't think. Remember when Brooks had tonsillitis (but would be back at the weekend hopefully) for about 10 weeks?

We'll just find out when he next appears, either training video or an hour before a match.

I'm shocked our fans think they deserve to know the ins and outs of our fitness position. We're still playing competitive games and there is a whole load to lose, and nothing to gain with them telling you. Shut the fuck up, watch the team we put out and let the manager and coaches do their jobs.

Just to be a bit factual, until John Egan got sent off we had not conceded a goal since the restart. We have conceded 6 without him. That obviously not taking away what JOC adds to our attacking options. Think Egan has been the bigger loss. Our only other game where we have conceded 3 was also without him.

Missing JOC and originally Fleck too must have a huge effect on Enda, not to the scale of completely forgetting how to play football like it has done but it was always going to hold him back.

We NEED our reliable players firing again, not many of our team get 10/10 ratings but our strength is that most of our 11 consistently get 8's.

Fair point - but surely we can agree that we miss both when they aren't playing.

Yes. I think another contribution to the poor form is that subconsciously it must affect the confidence of those in front of the defence knowing the back line is heavily depleted. It's not an excuse but it must have an impact.

Missing any one of our three regular centre backs is a problem for us, missing two is a disaster. Going forward we really do need some appropriate cover.

If there’s a risk of a relapse of injury I’d rather we hold off getting him back till the Spurs game. Though we picked in my view the wrong replacement for Fleck vs Villa, we do at least have pretty good alternatives to him in Freeman and Osborn. That’s just not the case with any of our defenders, and is something we really need to look to address in the window. You would hope that Egan and Henderson’s returns will give us a natural boost at any rate. I did think Robinson overlapped far more at Old Trafford than in the previous games – won a corner on at least one of those too. I suspect JOC won’t be risked Sunday.
