Me too .

I was on a golfing holiday with some mates , but we interrupted it to go to the match . On the way there we got stuck behind a bus carrying Man U supporters , wound the window down , gave them the two fingers and started chanting " Tony , Tony Currie ".

They went fucking ballistic as we overtook them and our day was complete when we ran out 2-1 winners , courtesy of the great man himself and the wonderful Woody .

Happy Days . :)

I was there as well with then to become wife !! unreal ... it's a while ago but I'm sure we relegated them or they were already down and it was Charlton's last match at Old Trafford ..... That's about as good as it ever got .....until Wilder...LOL.

Bobby Charlton's last match at Old Trafford was on Easter Monday (8 months earlier), Dearden and Eddy were our scorers and we won there again (George Best's last home game) on Boxing Day. We won there twice in 1973

Wasn't it Cloughies last game at Forest we messed up?
Beat 'em 2-0 and confirmed their relegation?

One for you SB .

Which was the match at Old Trafford where Len Badger seeing that Steve Faulkner was having an absolute mare at centre half , swapped roles with him and played an absolute blinder ?

It was a joy to watch .

Easter Monday. Faulkner's debut, his poor back pass let in Kidd to score the opener.

I was at that match! Remember it well. I was driving down and shunted the car in front of me at the approach to a roundabout in Chesterfield. I was wearing my Blades shirt and as I was exchanging details with the other driver, a coach full of Blades went past and they started cheering me (or taking the piss, one or the other). Anyway, still made it to the game in time for kickoff.

True story.

I remember going on boxing day 1973 (I think) we won 2-1 and Currie scored - we were stood in that corner between the scoreboard end and main stand - finished up getting attacked by some Irish Man U fans
