We were always going to have days like this...

Well, aye. No point in analysing it really, wank match, 10 men, Norwood and Enda stinkers, not our usual zip.

Fair fucks though, if you're going to concede a wank goal, may as well make it the most Sunday League goal ever, Bash letting it bounce over his head whilst out of position, Enda doing a Norman Wisdom pastiche then Deano (not his fault though) doing one of his near post ice hockey goalie efforts.

Ah well fuckit eh, onto the next'un

How about we start fucking attacking. Im fine getting beat if we atleast try and have more than 1 shot on target every fucking game.

Not a shock the break, losing fleck, joc and Mcgoldrick in first two games and Egan sending off has left us looking awful.

And with a small pre season next year we need to find a solution.

...and i think we've had a lot less this season than anyone expected.

Chill out peeps, let's retain some perspective.

And it always comes across teams you expect to beat. Put them down as the latest Walsall.

Anyone else think Egan's first yellow card looked very soft? The other guy was doing most of the aggro.

He'd be at him before. Ref had a word with both of them and told them to stop it. They both clearly hadn't, albeit it was clear who was winding who up!

It's the basic stuff today that grated. Lack of pace and movement up top. If you don't shoot and create chances then you don't win football games.

It was soft. But it happened, and once it did Egan had to avoid a 2nd yellow, which he crucially failed at. He got himself into trouble, and didn’t need to pull him back. Going 1-0 down with 40 mins left with 11 men is very different to it being down to 10 men with 40 minutes left. It was the sort of idiocy I’d have expected Michael Doyle to display, not Egan.

Still in shock over Stevens air shot that gifted them the momentum
He had time to trap the ball
Comb his hair look up and pass it out.
Just mind numbing effort

The selection of players contradicted the midfield formation/tactical approach. I Agree with the choice of Sharp and McB up front because it is clear Newcastle sit deep and use pace to break quickly.

What we then go and do is play a flat 3 that holds possession rather than creates chances (no CAM) and then at times when playing the ball out of defence ping it into the channels for sharp to chase when he’s against quicker defensive players or McB to flick it on/play it back to a defender, repeating the no threatening cycle. The disappointing aspects to all of this are we haven’t learnt anything from the reverse fixture and the defence against Man Utd is going to come under a huge amount of pressure from better players.

From Europe to at least we’re not going to get relegated is a tough pill to swallow, but we still have a chance. UTB! wilder will sort this out.

It's next season that worries me :(

Not a dig at you mate, but I heard people saying the same during the first season back in the champ, after our form fell off a cliff. Personally, I think we will kick on again next season.

The truth is he was struggling for pace and did at Bramall Lane as well. Great centre half because he steps in, but needs pace with him and really missed JOC who turns and covers quickly.

Yep, I was one of them and fortunately and fantastically wrong and hope same again.

That said a broken watch is right twice a day :/ if Hendo goes back then we really should be worried.

I disagree, we expected to have days where the opposition were too good but I never for one second expected that this team would down tools and Jack it in. That’s exactly what happened today and was the main reason we got dicked in the way we did.

The spine of the team completely gave up.

I am fairly sure that we have keeper options lined up, assuming that we won't have Hendo here next season. Don't get me wrong, I think he is top notch and we will struggle to get anyone quite as good, but we will still have a pick of experienced keepers in the summer.

What we need is more flair and pace up top, because we will have to score more goals in the future.

Midfield was Truly shite, gifted the ball to Newcastle on umpteen occasions,Berge was awful so was Norwood,Stevens was on drugs.
and Tackles?....just not enough,effort,poor.
Movement off the ball was dire.
Going forward we are so predictable and dare I say boring..
Back to the drawing board.
The bonus is A)my expectations have been brought down a peg or two and B)we can only get better.

I remember a lot of days like this even kast season when we got promoted! Lots of times id come on here and everyone was moaning.

Not happened much this season - it only occurred to me when i watched wilder's post match interview and realised i hadnt heard him speak like that in a long time
