What's your favourite bit of praise for the Blades?

I think the only thing I disagree with is that Merson says we have to play to our limit every game to get a result. I think we’ve won a few games where we’ve not been anywhere near our best. Everton and West Ham for starters.
 
Jamie Carragher. He acknowledges we play good football, and aren't one dimensional. I think the benefit from that praise is that he's a highly influential and popular pundit with a huge social reach.

If he's praising us, then more people who might have the assumption we’re managed by a classic tracksuit manager, with a group of good lads who are programmed to ’run around a bit’ & ’let them know we're there’ might have their opinion swayed.

Same here. I thought he was a complete knobhead as a player but he now pops up on Talkbloke, 5L and Sky, telling it how it is.

He's refreshing for just stating what he sees and thinks rather than following the usual punditry set in stone bollocks about the 'big clubs'.
 
I loved the bit in the Man U game, around 70 mins Gary Neville was singing our praises
 
I liked the bit on the Price of Football this week Last season United lost £10m the lowest amount lost by a promoted club. In the last five years the clubs promoted to the Premiership lost a staggering £500m between them in their promotion season
 
I've forgotten which Monday night game it was, maybe Arsenal home, but Jamie Carragher was purring about United in the post match analysis. His mind was blown after watching us.
 
I'm sort of struggling with all this!.. I'm more used to having to "defend" Utd when we've had some success in the past.. Always welcomed the occasional positive comment from a neutral, true.. But, frankly, they're becoming tiresome now! ... .What a time to be a Blade ⚔💕⚔

I didn't interpret it that way tbh. I thought what he was saying was that we put maximum effort in throughout every game. Reminds me of a comment someone else made, (and I can't remember who it was now) but they said, "Sheffield United play every game like they are losing 1-0". And I think that sums it up for me. Even when we are winning we are never "coasting". We never take the foot off the gas. Sure, there will be passages of play when the ball is more with the other team and we are under pressure. But we are a pretty relentless team. Even when we are winning we still keep trying to win by even more. We just don't know when to geyore sometimes! :oops:
 
I don't know if we've been singled out for praise for this, but I'm going to single us out for praise for it now, and that's the lack of prima donnas in the squad and the lack of play-acting. Wilder just won't tolerate either of these things - now that's a refreshing change to most teams that we come across. It's a good time to mention it as well seeing as we've got the delights of Little Tumbling Jack Grealish to watch next week!

There was a game at Bramall lane earlier this season, I can't remember which one, but Luke Freeman was playing and he went down on the pitch after a collision with another player and he was rolling around a bit and taking his time to get up. It happened not far from the dugout. It didn't seem like a bad tackle but it did seem like Freeman was making a bit of a drama out of it. I have a good view of the dugout from my seat in the South Stand. Wilder was out of the dugout in a flash, like a junkyard dog coming out of its kennel, lips curled and snarling towards Freeman. He quickly got up and got on with it!

There's no room for play-acting in Wilder's team. We just don't do it. That's another thing that makes this team and this manager special. 👍
 
My favourites have been in Roygbiv view froms, when fans from the 'big clubs ' have been worried about us and praising us.
Lots from Liverpool were great and come to think of it Klopp has said a lot of giod stuff.
