....should the season recommence, as it looks more likely, we should do well with the remaining fixtures we have. What makes me believe this is as follows:-
1). The number of times I have read various reports from different sources that our players when training go into it 100% and they don't take any prisoners in tackles against their own team mates and CW wouldn't accept any slackness from any individual. Therefore, playing behind closed doors will not deter them from playing to their highest level in games that lack atmosphere created by the fans. Plus, all our lads are itching to get going again and what I've seen can't wait to get back onto the field of play.
2). Again, I have read reports, heard comments, watched interviews from many players from other teams in the Premier league who don't seem up to returning. They don't seem to have the drive or the eagerness to recommence and feel that their heart will not be in these games. Primerdonas who can only put on a show when under the public spotlight.
3). More than 50% of the teams in the PL don't have anything to play for and they will certainly just play out the season; wanting to play safe to avoid injury, especially as the commencement of the new 20/21 season could follow quite quickly. I'm sure that a few players could even report slight symptoms to avoid having to go through the risk.
4). If these games are played on a neutral ground, that would suit our players, as we've witnessed this season, we play well away from home and play in a more relaxed style.
All in all, I'm quite confident.
