8 minutes of waffle, 2 minutes of a kind of sort of rough plan of sorts involving some weird graphics showing some kind of scale where the operator seemed to be drunk as the pointer kept wiggling madly all over the place.

Why start a new season in uncertain circumstances somewhere around November / December, and have to cram the games in.
When you could finish off the existing one instead in a much more relaxed schedule with flexibility.
A bonus might be that the League cup & the FA cup might also take on a higher profile, and teams will stop playing second string teams in them..
P.S.
How will the League Cup & the F.A. cup be constructed if leagues 1 & 2 have no teams ?

Most clubs will have gone bust by November/December....

Just my opinion but the way BoJo just set out his phases I don't see fans being allowed back into stadiums until season 2021/22

Anyone know how long a fit person would take to recover from either mild or hospitalised treatment.

As a few have said on this thread, totally agree, play the rest of the season out as and when it's safe to do so. Unless they find a vaccine for coronavirus, it'll be interrupting the following season as well, so we'll be in the same spot for 20/21. Play two seasons over three years if needs be

1. Play the season out.
2. If not possible, complete season with the league table it currently stands (add ppg for outstanding fixtures).
3. Last resort, void season

I think all those clubs who are blatantly trying to avoid resumption in an attempt to stave off relegation will think differently if they know that we will go to option 2 before 3.

Odds on no.2 applies for this season. FA says relegation and promotion goes ahead as planned no matter what.

Come next season it will behind closed doors.

Number 3 shouldn’t be last resort. It shouldn’t even be up for debate. Luckily it isn’t, the powers that be have already stated it isn’t even in the conversation.

Yeah I agree. I was only including it to show relative to other options how it should be viewed.

I'm amazed at the amount of people who think this should be the number 1 go to. Mostly fans of clubs in the bottom 3/4.
Actually, scratch that. I'm not amazed at all. Completely predictable behaviour from them..

That's something to consider although it doesn't help that the Euro's should be next June & the Qatar(🤣) world cup, the year after that.

Brighton have a 'third player'.

Why is the player anonymous? Why are they advertising it as though they've 3 players out now, they have 1 currently infected, they should be concentrating on that.

Even if it was 3, how many did Middlesborough have out through illness and injury and got fined* for not playing?
let me see...23 sick injured and suspended (ok rules slightly different then but the point stands).
* deducted 3 points fined 50 grand and had to play the game (obviously)

They say that safety is paramount..and agree.

But it's far more dangerous going to the fekkin supermarket....and that's allowed.

The club Doctor has probably sent him round to all the other players houses, so he can tell them in person 🤧
